This game had my brother in law trying to IRL kick the spiders... 10/10

Reminds me of a game called archipelago that was included on my Galaxy S II years back.

For free and without ads or in app purchases, this is awesome. 10/10

Editing my review from positive to negative, developers charging more for DLC in £ compared to $. New DLC should be £3.97 at time of writing (before discount) with correct exchange rate.

Lots of bugs and performance issues still being ignored.

While this game does still have a few bugs, can be clunky, extremely repetitive and certainly isn't perfect, it is still a pretty damn good game for the money and the fact that it is still being updated is quite frankly astounding. Kudos to the developer for continuing to show love to what is now, quite an old game! :)[/spolier]

Had a blast playing this, the art style is fantastic, the voice acting is on point, the narrated, changeable story is very clever & enjoyable, graphically it has held up very well largely thanks to the art style & it is not to easy, even on the lower difficulty settings, there is a learning curve, you will die, sometimes intentionally :)

You also get some additional / post story content in the form of arcade, duel & new game plus, which is not bad at all considering the zero pounds I paid for it.

Not going to lie, I probably never would have bought this, it is typically not my type of game & i'm not a fan of anything western / wild west, but since it was free I gave it a go & I ended up enjoying it far more than I thought I would, with it becoming my first completed title of 2022.

Highly recommended, Give it a go :)

Ryzen 7 2700X - Radeon RX 6700 XT

Framerate often tanks to below 10 FPS, particularly in the third office or during G3 conventions.
My system specifications are not the issue. Far from it.

Otherwise the game is ok, not great, but ok.

Loved this many years ago & it is still an excellent strategy game in 2018

Info: Windows 10 users will need to do a few tweaks to make this run correct & look as it should on a modern HD monitor, first find the configuration file conquests.ini, open with notepad, scroll to the bottom & add the line "keepRes=1" to run the game at your display resolution, next find the file civ3conquests.exe, right click & in properties select to run both as administrator and in windows XP SP3 compatibility to fix a bug where the game freezes at the end of a game.
