An addicting roguelike that I've spent more than 130 hours with. Totally worth the 10 dollars; the combat is smooth, the music is decent, and the mysterious narrative that plays out as you play makes you feel like you're just behind the man writing the diary entries. Rogue Legacy is a wonderful game to try, because it's a good place to dip your toes into the genre. It's easier to grasp the mechanics than in a lot of other roguelikes, and though it still has permanent death, there are permanent upgrades that you slowly buy, equipment you can purchase, and runes you can find.
