If you're a fan of the latest GOW games, then this may be right up your ally. The gameplay loop is very similar to the GOW games and offers a variety of content in similar ways, such as platforming, puzzle solving, and combat.
The story is quite interesting, and while it does take a lot of inspiration from a bygone time in its setting, many liberties have also been taken, but don't let that dissuade you from playing. It's a video game about malevolent supernatural forces overtaking a community, so some things aren't going to be 100% historically accurate.
You will be doing a lot of walking and a lot of backtracking and a lot of exploring, but it's worth it for that sweet sweet loot.
