游戏本身的玩点较少，探索石油，开采石油，后期会有钻石与天然气，但这基本就是全部了。但制作组为了长时间可玩性，添加了很多系统，小镇股票、土地竞拍、二周目更有角色特殊能力。如果只是单局钻石油，这游戏只能丢小游戏网站上，免费放出。但加上其它一系列内容，可玩性可以说作为独立游戏是达标了，我一口气玩了数十小时打通一周目都没感到无聊过，二周目虽然没打通，但也玩了十来个个小时。

前作的画面表现已然是如梦如幻，而奥日2显然更胜一筹。场景的建模更加精美细致，动态的背景也让环境焕发出生机。许多场景对于光影的巧妙应用让画面的氛围与美感更上一个台阶。即使说是每一帧皆为壁纸也不为过。而各处区域的独特景色也让人眼花缭乱，目不暇接。鲍尔之触的冰封雪景，光之池的海洋奇观，沃林深处的阴森地穴......数不尽的奇妙景色一一呈现在眼前，也许只有童话世界，才有这份景致吧~巨型角色与boss的加入也增添了画面的魄力与演出的张力，给整个冒险的过程增添了不少紧张与刺激。
