I was a huge fan of Symphony of the Night back when it was released and I never got bored of the genre. I got this game for cheap and I was not really convinced when I got it, but after installing it I was unable to put it down.

I don't really have anything negative to say, this game is entertaining, challenging, rewarding, not too long, not too short, it has beautiful 2d graphics and animations. I really recommend it to metroidvania fans, and the only complaint I have is that I wish I discovered it sooner.

I never played it in consoles and now I am trying to play it in PC and the screen flickers like crazy. It was my mistake since I bought it and never tested it, now months later I installed it and come to realize it does not work.

Amazing 2d game. I'm writing this from my steam deck, that is where I played this game and I must say this was surprisingly awesome, graphics are like THE MINISH CAP, fighting was pretty engaging with mechanics of switching characters and weapons making it very entertaining. My reaction after playing for the first time was... how could I lived this long without playing this.

I remember playing this on PS3 with 4 controllers, that was several years ago, maybe more than I would like to admit. Now, I saw this Steam release as a perfect opportunity to play with my friends again. However, I hated the Ubisoft launcher thing and also that does not sound very loud or full screen on the steam deck.

Never played any other Far Cry before for some reason, this one was a great experience for me. I guess the best about it is the open world and so many missions, but at the same time, it might become a bit boring towards the end. It was very interesting to explore, discover, etc, it felt like when you discover something pretty cool that you never noticed before and realize what you have been missing out.

I never reviewed this game when I bought it, and I am reviewing it now because I wanted to play Far Cry 6, but it is not available in Steam. I will patiently wait for it to be available here, there are plenty of other games I can play meanwhile. I know its on another store, or consoles, but don't like to have a split library.

Game looks like dark souls, it's inevitable to compare. However, the main character looks more imponent than in DS and mechanics, and overall gameplay feels similar, but it is different. Facing an enemy feels challenging and also, feels like if you are not careful you might die. As a DS fan, I am loving this game, but also hating it, sometimes is too difficult, even more difficult than DS, but I do recommend it.

What I love:

-Game aesthetic looks gorgeous.
-Mechanics are not identical to DS.
-Main character shells look very cool and powerful.
-Game is not easy.

What I hate:

-Game is not open world.
-Fights feel challenging due to how the character moves, but this is part of the mechanics.
-For me, feels more difficult than DS.

Veredict: For this price point, it is a must buy.

I have played 14 hours of this and I like it. This game has a nice blend of action and horror, there are areas that are action focused and it's just running and shooting everything that moves and then there's areas where there's just one strong enemy that might start chasing you if he sees you. Some areas are a bit stressing as there are many enemies trying to get you, but I find that funny and rewarding once I overcome these areas. Most of the puzzles are too easy, but I guess it is better that way so you can progress. Some areas also have an special requirement to progress; for example, find a key to open the exit door or enemies will keep chasing you.

Something I don't like is that once you finished and area, most likely you can't come back, for example the castle. So, try to find everything on each room, when a room is red in your map, it means that there's an item in that room that you haven't picked up. If the room is blue, there are no items left. Something nice, is that there are certain areas that you can revisit, which might have something new when you come back. For example, I returned to certain area to pick up a chest I couldn't get before, and a giant monster jumped out of nowhere to make things interesting again.

Great adventure game from Sony. Game is quite enjoyable and there's lots of exploration. Main character is a strong woman and fits perfectly in the game world.

I wish Sony would port other games, for example I own this thing on my ps4 and PC. Anyway, I would say this is a must buy. Although I can add that some open world games are starting to feel the same or very similar to other games from the same genre.

Pros
-nice graphics.
-Not too long, not too short.
-Cyber dinosaurs!

Cons
-Some things about the plot are stupid or hard to believe.
-Similar to other open world games.

After playing it for a 100-200 hours, I can say that the game is great. the history was very interesting and fun. Gameplay is similar to fallout, but faster and more dynamic. This game has several graphical and cosmetic bugs, but are funny and I would say can be ignored. However, a few missions got bugged for me and could not complete them, so I would recommend to always save before starting a mission so you can reload if it were to get stuck.

Another problem I noticed is that once you get to certain level, it is too easy. Something else is that, although you take several paths to finish a mission, it does not impact the overall results. I guess the only place where you change the outcome significantly is when you go to the final mission.

The good:

-Night City is gorgeous
-Great graphics
-Fast and intense fights
-Interesting plot and character deployment

The bad:

-Too easy after a certain point
-Too many graphical bugs
-Too heavy for my 1700x/GTX1080
-Recommended to run it from fast storage as I noticed that textures will not load when on HDD and moving too fast, SSD was perfect.
-This game could be so much more thanks to night city, I hope that DLCs exploit the potential of this city

Thee worst:

Inventory was terrible, do not store too many things on your apartment or car. After a while, if you have too many things, whole game gets slow when pulling stuff out of storage. There's not an option to take everything out or store everything. Would be nice to have an option to sell stuff in batches as well. I would say that the best option would be something like store everything except equipped, be able to take everything out of storage at once and an option to sell everything except equipped and legendary/mission related stuff. Also, holding a key to keep crafting something would be nice.

I used to love SNK, everything they did was great, NeoGeo AES, MVS, Metal Slug, KOF, Fatal Fury, Garou, Last Blade, Samurai Shodown, etc. Although, I do feel that the transition to 3d was not kind to them.

About this game, well it is great, but it does not have the old SNK feeling on it, still I think I like the fact that they are still releasing games, and trying new things. This game has more DOA vibe into it than KOF vibe. I have't played much as I had to format my PC due to windows update errors. But, if you are a SNK fan, them get it keeping in mind that this is not KOF. I would like to imagine what would have been to see a 2d version of this on the NeoGeo, but that is not going to happen.

Anyway, if you like SNK and fan service, then get it. If you like DOA, get it, they are charging way less for the DLCs than Tecmo. I cannot deny the fact that when I was a kid (10-12 yo) and I saw Mai on KOF, it made it sort of my video game crush and to this day, I still fantasize about that.
