hamsters do not bathe in water. please research appropriate hamster behavior as to not trick children into harming their pet hamster. also you cannot give the hamster a seed treat directly from your hand which is the best part of owning a hamster

My experience with the combat in this game is overwhelmingly negative. The combat system is buggy, unfair and does not function as advertised. This mainly comes down to the fundamental mechanics not working as they should. Every action in this game takes time to complete, including dodging, blocking, and parrying, which is terrible as there is obviously some level of randomness to the ability to parry or block effectively. By randomness I mean that the animation will take longer or slower, dependent upon nothing in particular, if it even occurs at all. While playing on a mouse and keyboard, sometimes the game will simply not follow the instructions I am inputting, choosing not to block or parry despite my repeated attempts to have it do so.

This is worsened by the decision to include negation mechanics: when an enemy attacks you while healing, you simply do not heal, making combat with large groups or bosses substantially more difficult. This is again worsened by the enemy AI being far more intelligent and the game being far more lenient with their attacks. The game will not permit you to block or parry except in the direction which the enemy is attacking you from, which sounds like a good mechanic, but will at the same time allow enemies to attack you from behind themselves and have them turn around in less than a second to attack you again, even though the blocking animation takes longer than that to complete. The combat is fundamentally unfair, and broken. These are intensely frustrated thoughts and not as well articulated as they could be. It may just be my own experience, but if it's like this for me, then I doubt it will be much better for others. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Which is bad, because I really like this game - I love exploring and I love well-performing combat mechanics, but this game poisons both of those elements for me, by having a terrible enemy arrangement throughout the levels, often making little sense and having random swarms of enemies attack you, and also by having terrible performing combat mechanics.

This game is fun. But the combat is not. The combat is almost the majority of the game. C'mon EA.
