Download PlanetSide Arena and give it a try.
It's not perfect, not even good but it's okay. It's still in Early Access so don't expect too much content.
Also I don't really mind the lootboxes. The game is Free to Play so it's up to you if you spend your money for loot boxes.
If you complete Daily and weekly challenges you can earn an ingame currency that you can use for buying Loot boxes so there is really no need to cry about that.
