Good remake, some of the content are cut from the main story but their lore is still there thus there is a possibility that the cut ones are in separate ways. Even so, the exclusion of these contents makes the flow of the game or its narrative more sense.

The game added some banters or dialogues as between leon and ashley which is quite nice and refreshing as opposed to the original.

The treasure hunting is great, considering there are also achievements rewarded in collecting all of the treasures per map (village, castle, island). This offers the players to fully explore the map which includes backtracking.

There are variety of enemies per part of the map, some of which are not in the original which is nice. The random stagger you get when you shoot the enemies on their weak points is a nice touch too considering that in the original there will always be a stagger when you shoot them.

They upped the survival-horror element of the game through its tone, and the mechanics of resource management, including the knife durability.

Some of the characters in the game are given more screentime thus making them more interesting compared to the original. However, some of the boss characters (salazar and saddler) unfortunately, were watered down. The remake made them somehow less interesting as compared to the original.

Ada's voice was weird for me from the start, but it did grow on me.

With all of that said, I give this game a solid 9/10.
