I do hate the Bruins, but I also hate the NHL in general. Will be following tonight's Jays game instead, at least until I have to go to bed. It's a late game in San Diego.
Tiny Elvis 20. Apr. um 11:53
EVERYBODY hates the Bruins.
Tonight, we are all Leaf's fans.

Good luck. :D
Enterprofilenamehere 21. Jan. um 8:25
Yes. They are my number one NFL team. Detroit is #2. Most southern Ontarians are Bills fans by default since there's no teams here.
Tiny Elvis 21. Jan. um 8:20
You aren't that far from Buffalo. Do you give a ♥♥♥♥ at all about today's game?
Tiny Elvis 31. Dez. 2023 um 18:48
Thanks. I never would have figured that out myself. :D
Enterprofilenamehere 31. Dez. 2023 um 18:39
You don't even have to place it. Just select it, then from then on in that play session you will be able to choose any of the images on them when clicking on any customizable sign you place from the deco menu. It is a quirk with how the signs work in blueprints.
Tiny Elvis 31. Dez. 2023 um 18:13
so they aren't separate from each other, because it only allows me to take all of them.
Enterprofilenamehere 31. Dez. 2023 um 18:11
There in with the deco blueprints.
Tiny Elvis 31. Dez. 2023 um 17:59
Where in the game do I find your wall signs you made?
Tiny Elvis 29. Dez. 2023 um 3:35
this game kind of sucks without the DLC
Half of the blueprint rides don't work.

Amazing profile - Wishing you a lovely 2024 :healthvial:
Tiny Elvis 27. Dez. 2023 um 13:02
i was just under the impression not to use the tubes until you had a massive park, I'm only on park 2, the airport, and I can see I'm gonna need them.
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 12:43
No problem. The transport tubes seem to be a common source of confusion among new players. I also didn't mention that after connecting the depot to the deliveries building with the tubes, you have to click on the depot and then add the shops you wish to be supplied by it.
Tiny Elvis 27. Dez. 2023 um 12:40
no, ill figure it out.
thanks for tolerating me :P
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 12:36
Do you want to go into a multiplayer game and I can show you there? I just created a world in the north american region called "Enterprofilenamehere". the password is "333".
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 12:30
No you have to connect the depot to the deliveries building with the transport tubes. In small parks you can just have the shops supplied directly from the deliveries building by connecting the spot where the crates appear with the shops, but this sin't really useful for shops more than a dozen or so tiles away because it takes too long for the haulers to carry the crates all that distance.
Tiny Elvis 27. Dez. 2023 um 12:26
And how do you get supplies to that depot?
I know there is an underground system, but i read that's only for really big parks.
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 12:20
You can set up multiple depots that each of them only supply a couple of shops right in front of them, eliminating the need for haulers to carry crates in view of the guests. The only shop that doesn't allow stocking from behind is the vending machine so there's nothing to be done about it.

It's not the end of the world if the haulers are carrying stuff in view of the guests, it just decreases the guests' immersion stat a little.

See how I set up a depot in this blueprint to supply the shops in it from behind. The haulers will never have to carry crates outside of that area behind the shops:
https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1847036393
Tiny Elvis 27. Dez. 2023 um 12:11
I got that, but if a shop is far away from the depot the hauler is going to have to cross some guests paths at some point to get there.

Maybe I should look at some other peoples' parks.
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 12:11
This guide is useful for learning how to use the depots and to aid in restocking shops by reducing the distance that haulers need to carry the crates:

Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 12:09
It's only beneficial to hide them when they are carrying crates to restock the shops. The employee paths (and regular paths) can connect to the backs of shops to restock them from behind via areas separate from the public areas.
Tiny Elvis 27. Dez. 2023 um 11:47
How do you hide haulers? If they need to get from one end of the park to the other, people are going to see them, unless you use tunnels, which is possible, though I'm still having trouble with stairs. They never go where or in the direction I want.
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 6:35
The steam workshop also has lots of great blueprints that make beautifying a park much easier.
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 6:32
You don't need to do any of that to succeed. Really as long as the eyesores are hidden from view you should be good. Just simple walls do the trick. The food stalls in particular don't need anything built around them. Just if you want to.
Tiny Elvis 27. Dez. 2023 um 6:29
You had the option to that with Planet Coaster, but they also had a lot of blueprints from very simple to very complex.
Tiny Elvis 27. Dez. 2023 um 6:28
My biggest problem is intimidation. I checked some videos, evidently for beginners, and these people were building these amazing things. They put down a simple food stall and constructed this whole food court around it, with walls and arches and columns. I kind of blew it off but then I read somewhere you had to do that or you'd never succeed.
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 6:23
Then I unpause the game and just add more rides and decorations as I make more money.

Decorations play an important role as they increase the immersion stat of guests, which makes them stay in the park longer and thus spend more money. It's especially important to hide things like the depots and deliveries building with walls, trees, etc. as they act as negative sources of deco score on nearby paths and ride segments. The game is pretty advanced here and it actually uses sightlines to determine if guests can see a piece of scenery from a tile of path or a coaster track segment.
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 6:23
It's very similar to the first two Roller Coaster Tycoon games, although a little more laid back.

When playing scenarios I usually pause the game at the beginning and build a bunch of flat rides (carousels, twisters, gravitron, etc. whatever is available) and one basic roller coaster until I run low on money. It's also important to increase the prices of rides as the defaults are too low. Generally for flat rides I increase the price by $1 and for roller coasters I set the price to whatever it's excitement rating is divided by 5, so if a coaster's excitement rating was 62.1, I'd set it's ride price at $12.

Don't forget to make sure there are food and drink shops that can be stocked by haulers from depots or the deliveries building.
Tiny Elvis 27. Dez. 2023 um 6:05
I don't think it's bugs, it's just me not knowing enough.
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 6:01
Yeah they're pretty good developers that way. I've communicated with them a couple times and even helped them find a couple bugs which they fixed relatively quickly.
Tiny Elvis 27. Dez. 2023 um 5:57
They sent me an email telling me. And I was contemplating cancelling the refund anyway. I didn't feel right giving up so quickly. First time I played City Skyline I gave up several times.
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 5:53
Also I'd still wait and see before playing it if they give the refund. I don't think the the 2 hours/14 days thing is a hard cutoff.
Enterprofilenamehere 27. Dez. 2023 um 5:51
Sure.

I also don't mind Leafs jokes as I don't really follow the NHL anymore.
Tiny Elvis 27. Dez. 2023 um 3:59
It took me more than two hours to figure out I don't like the game, so they won't give me a refund, which is cool. I'm looking forward to the challenge of taking it on and getting good at it.

Do you mind if I hit you up from time to time for tips/advice? I promise no more Maple Leaf jokes.
Enterprofilenamehere 26. Dez. 2023 um 16:07
I feel the same way about rail transport simulators like Railway Empire. Based on the other games I like I should like them but just can't.
Tiny Elvis 26. Dez. 2023 um 16:03
Weird thing is, 90% of what I play are builders and sims, but this one just didn't do it for me.
Enterprofilenamehere 26. Dez. 2023 um 16:02
Oh well. Everyone can't like everything.
Tiny Elvis 26. Dez. 2023 um 16:00
I returned it.
It just wasn't fun.
Enterprofilenamehere 26. Dez. 2023 um 15:58
Press "o" for quick save I think.
Tiny Elvis 26. Dez. 2023 um 11:25
Is there a quicksave?
Enterprofilenamehere 26. Dez. 2023 um 10:15
I just tried it and it worked fine for me, although note it takes a couple seconds of moving around to un-grey out the button. I used the page up and page down keys. There must be something specific that's triggering the bug for some people, which would make it hard for the developers to track down.
Tiny Elvis 26. Dez. 2023 um 10:09
There have been tons of reports already and none of their ideas seemed to work. It's not enough of a problem to warrant me trying to fix it anymore.
Enterprofilenamehere 26. Dez. 2023 um 10:08
I don't remember having that issue, although I bought the game when it was still in early access before it had a tutorial so I didn't do it until I was already quite familiar with the game. I'd make a bug report as the developers usually respond and fix issues or you could try starting the tutorial over in case it was just a one-off if you haven't already.
Tiny Elvis 26. Dez. 2023 um 7:00
In the Parkitec,t tutorial after I do the zoom, the next button stays grayed out. I tried everything i found in the forums.

Doesn't really effect the overall game, but it still irks me.
Bland Ambition 16. Dez. 2023 um 5:38
Thank you for explaining the temperature thing (Hawaii vs Canada). Idk if it was for me or just in general, but thank you either way.

@Your Statement

Only if you watch what you eat, which is what most vegans have to do. Meat can be part of a healthy diet in moderation, but most people don't eat meat because it's healthy, they eat it because it tastes good and makes them happy.

That is not good enough for Doctor Studies.

People aren't robots and deserve the right to choose what
they eat without dumb judgement and pointless arguing.

--------

That is the problem, if People had a choice all along?
There would be no problem at all, but the USA Government
doesn't wanna give People a right to choose, they want
to make the judgement call for People, & to me
that is a problem, forcing People to eat something
they don't want to eat, is not a healthy way to live...
