Sorry to hear that you lost your items. Here's a tip for the future: Steam admins (or any admins for the matter) will NEVER add you. If it's a "Steam Admin" saying you had duped items, or just saying they need to see your items, it's most likely a scammer, hoping to get their victim to fall for their little trick. Never believe anyone who says they are a Steam Admin.

INSTEAD: Look at their badges and look for the VALVe Badge. This will indicate they are indeed a member of Valve/Steam. But because Steam/Valve staff NEVER add you, anyone claiming to be an admin will pretty much be a scammer, and will never have the VALVe Badge to begin with. An example of having a VALVe badge is with Robin Walker's profile (if it isn't private). You will see a VALVe Badge in his collection. That shows they are apart of Valve.
