I'ma keep it blunt I pirated tf out of this game just because I heard the pc port was crap but this game is amazing dawg. the writing is perfect, the cinematography is on point, and the game play is fun. it is absolute cinema. the narrative really spoke to me as Travis is doing disgusting things for selfish reasons. it really got me thinking about how I treat people in my life. by the end it had me slamming my desk at how brilliant it was and how even after plot twist after plot twist. it still manages to hold you with cool and funny writing. I thought that the game play was fun. the bosses are a treat to fight. they are not to difficult and they are pretty dynamic, where they'll pull out moves that they didn't use at the start of the fight. they are also very memorable. people say that the game is grindy but I'm a guy that likes to take his time with games. getting all the gold medals and stuff. and I was able to to clear the requirements for the fights just fine. if you don't like the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ side jobs you can just do the assassination jobs which gives you a chance to practice the combat and how to use the swords just right. then theres all the free roam missions that give you an extra challenge. but then again I put in like 20 hours, some of that just being ideal but still the same. the music is wonderful as well. I highly recommend giving this game a try. I didn't have any problems with the port other than the baseball mini game being bugged. which I wouldn't know how you fix. its still a very niche game that deserves more love. and its a good place to jump into suda51's games. I highly recommend it

yeah this games pretty cool. good music, fun game play, easy to pick up. don't really need to remember the synergy of items or characters.
my only problem is that there isn't really much to do after you beat the game. I think I only beat the game in like 5 hours. however I still have yet to collect all the items. I will say its not like risk of rain 2 where there are hundreds of items for you to collect, a strong intensive to replay the game on harder difficulties, along with multiplayer co op.
however I love andy's games and this. its a game you can just pick up and play when your board. I'm currently in between games right now, wondering what I should play next and this games just a good mindless game to play.

I played this game this game back in like 2018 and was confused by what I was supposed to do and where I needed to go. thats probably my biggest gripe with the game. you kinda have to be paying attention to what your doing and make sure you exhaust all avenues before moving on to another area. point being, don't go to deep nest or the resting grounds. you are going to be completely out of the loop if you do that. hollow knights best quality is its exploration. once I had this mentality of exhausting every avenue and trying my hardest at boss fights you are gonna enjoy the game. if you get frustrated at the fact you don't have a full map and you don't try get through a place you don't know, this game is not for you. the best way to describe it is if you like metroid vaneas you like this game

I'ma keep it blunt with you, I feel dirty writing this review and I don't know how to feel about this game. This is my 100% honest review.

To answer the question of do I recommend it, we first have to understand who this game is for. This is 100% a porn game. porn games don't have to have tits and ass in them to be considered porn games. This is a particular category of porn game called ryona. Which involves people getting beat up in sensual or sexual ways. In this case, it can also involve gore and body mutilation. If this sounds disturbing to you this game is not for you. If you chuckled when you heard me describing this genre of game you are in the same camp that I was.
From what little I've played, I'll still say the game isn't too aggreges. The one part I find the most disgusting is if you die to the second boss enough times (this game is a lil challenging you are going to die a lot). It shows the main character, eyes closed with a weird expression, wearing fancy lingerie with all over her limbs cut off and a bloody saw next to her. If you look closer you can also see a teddy bear holding a knife with eye balls drooping out of it. Implying her eyes got cut out. Not a fan, but like I said, its not the worst thing I've ever seen in my life.
In my opinion I think gore can hold some merit in an artistic medium. Gore can hold artistic value. But something about this game just rubs me the wrong way, It feels like its not made to be subtly profound. It feels like its just porn for porns sake. Which is a lil disappointing to me. I like when my games go a tiny bit deeper than its just porn. This also makes it feel like it lacks polish which leads me into my next point.

Low key, if the game actually felt good to play I wouldn't have any problems with it, but its really jank and lacks polish. Stuff like the animations feeling off and lacking impact. Sometimes you'll get cut in half and your whole body will still be there attached. I bull ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ my way though intermediate C++ but I am like 15% certain I could fix this game. It also lacks polish in the gameplay. The combo system they advertise (so far) doesn't feel like it meshes well with all the moves you can do. So far I only got the forward slashing move and a double jump. My problem with the forward slashing move is if you don't do it right you can't get a full combo out of it. it slashes like 3 times before ending and usually I only get 2 slashes in before it stops. You can get a kick that sends enemy's into the air and then once you get them in the air you can also get another move that I think suspends them there for a lil bit. Which sounds cool. I'm a lil on the fence about this one cause I haven't really played a lot of side scrolling hack and slashes, and I haven't really gotten a lot of the skills yet, so I can't really say for certain if it is truly profound or not.
There's this game for the wii u called tank tank tanks. Its what I would describe as jank. Sometimes the controls mess up leaving you turning without holding any of the buttons, there isn't really much gameplay and most of the game just feels like you can beat it by holding down 1 button. From what I remember this game is jank. All though underparty isn't as jank as this, I will say its not perfect. which is disappointing.

Only 54 minutes in this game and I'm on the fence about it. I think, am I going to miss that $3.49? Am I going to get my moneys worth with this game? Should I be playing something else? What would other people think if they saw I sunk 20 hours in this game based on how long to beat .com? Would get my money back while I still can? tbh I don't know. In my honest opinion so far, I would say try before you buy it, If you can find a copy online and get it working. This was just mostly my opinion of the game but if you read this I hope it helps you make a decision in purchasing it. I'm just gonna mark it as not recommended because it didn't really convince me into giving it a recommended.
