This game is definitely a challenge, but it is written in capital letters at the very beginning, and yes, you will be losing your minions periodically, especially at higher levels of difficulty and/or while experimenting with the party composition, or just due to bad luck and huge crit.

To be successful, you need to think about tactics first: what minions complement each other based on their abilities (some can buff other minions in a specific way and/or debuff enemies), position during a fight, rotation (usage of some abilities moves the minion thus changing the position(s) of other(s)), the main type of damage (physical or stress), in what way to level up the minions (2 alternatives to choose from), not to mention that you have mana (spells are opened through research and artifacts/items), rage, mixtures (opened by mixing ingredients), items/clothes that you can wear, your personal develepment tree (4 talent tabs) which affects minions/spell power, etc.

You are forced to win on lower difficulty levels to make the higher ones available. Thus you can understand the mechanics, open new minions and learn the bosses (abilities, stages, etc) to increase survivability of the party. Or you can read the illustrated strategy guide written by the devs, but only if you own the supporter pack (if nothing has changed).

The game had bugs when I played it, but what game does not today?! While I myself did not face with any game breaking bugs, some small issues still happened, and I'd like to note the way in which the customer support team works. You won't hear advices like restart your PC, update all possible drivers or change the internet provider, but, on the contrary, will get all necessary directions how to settle the issue. They can ask you to send them a specific file from the game directory so they could check and correct it. Getting it back and replacing the old one, will fix the problem.
