Its not bad, I really cant give an honest Vanilia review at all? Because I solely played this for the Outer Rim mod star wars mod. But, in any case.

So, i came in with high expectations, but the AI really sucks at using Lightsabers lol. They usually suck at blocking, and you can just cut them into pieces.

otherwise, the game is fun, thats what matters most.

I think i would compare this game the most to Stormworks, but with a focus on fighting rather than saving.

Because along with Stormworks, the focus of the game revolves around Sea battles, but also offers equal opportunity in Land and Air combat. Its pretty fun.

Designing your own stuff is the GOAL of the game? but, I could'nt figure out Stormworks, i wont be figuring this game out sadly. So take to the Workshop, and find some things you like.

Just expect to lose a lot, and lose hard. Its a learning curve.

It runs, it costs too much for how old it is, and no one else plays it. At least the DLC comes with the base game, and Co-Op still works for the most part.

And you can mod it pretty easy.. its not so bad.

Its alright, its just not as good as Boneworks was (somehow), and its hard to say why? The main story feels like it ends right when it actually picks up, and from there, the game itself tells you "okay buddy pal, gee that sure was fun!! You should make your OWN levels now sport! Teehee! Better get modding buddy!!"

Like, sure... they are TRYING to be a Community based game. But, it really falls flat once you look at the mod page, and its just porn and gun mods. It sucks bad. I even tried porting my own models to this game, so I'm willing to say I really did give it a good run.

Aside from gameplay/story/ideas, the game runs really badly, the game itself runs fine, i never experienced much lag while playing, but this comes at the cost of LOAD TIMES. When you first boot the game? Start the kettle, and grab a chair, you will be waiting for quite some time, the longest ive waited is around 10 mins. Just sitting and staring at the wall, and once it loaded, I had to pick the "play the game" option and load for another 5-10 mins.

Its so bad. I assume this is because the game is caching all the assets, so you don't have to load while you play? But man, it sucks bad, and its the MAIN reason why I do not play this game.

They tried, but it just really misses the mark, Boneworks had a ton of Potential, and they ruined it somehow.

After around 13 years, the game is still basically full price, and so are the DLCs, which are a whole $15 each. So even if you buy the game on sale, you are still paying up to $60!!! For a game that is 13 years old.

And on top of that garbage, it BARELY runs, you have to open up the file location, and spam click the .exe to run the game (and its multiplayer addon too). Then, when you GET into the game, matchmatching RARELY works, its genuinely hard to get into matches with friends in a private game (server browser barely works too).

I'm sure all my issues have some sorta solution to them, but WHY should I have to fix this? This game is up for FULL RETAIL PRICE. Its not abandoned or thrown up on discount for being old and outdated? It is BEING SOLD FOR FULL PRICE, I would assume that means the game is being actively maintained and cared for by the multi billion dollar company behind it.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. DO NOT BUY ANY CALL OF DUTY ON STEAM. ACTIVISON IS STEALING YOUR MONEY.

It suffers a bit from Old VR game things... like having ZERO settings for changing controls or comfort, just audio and graphics. So you wont be getting any fancy move with the joystick, or what not... Just old fashioned Point and teleport.

Although, with all the comfort features in this game, I actually found that this was the first VR game to make me motion sick (this was from staring up at the planes in the air, and trying to track them with my head, then another time when i was turning a bit too much), after logging nearly 1000 hours in various VR games, so there must be an award for that?

You also cannot turn in game, which is a huge issue for me personally, since my playspace is long, not wide. So facing one direction, and using the ingame turn options is usually my go-to (I suppose that is why this game makes me motion sick aswell). So, i find myself getting lost in real space more often than any other game.

The gameplay is straight foreward and fun, there's really no complaints on it, the characters and animations are well done, and I couldnt ask for much more.

Its a good game, if not simple very dated for a VR game, not really worth $20+? More so $10, but that's my personal opinion.

The best indie game I've had the blessings to play.

Its hard and its not for everyone. But once you get better at it, nothing is impossible.

The only thing I really DONT like about this game, is just the sheer amount of time it takes to grind levels. I'm talking hours of real time to get a handful of levels. I'm sure its not a big deal for most people, and its the intended way to play. But if you find yourself getting exhuasted by this, then please save yourself the time and get an XP multiplier mod. They come in 2x, 5x, and 10x. I use 5x, since its a perfect balance of Vanilia and assisted.

10/10 game

Imagine paying 3x as much, for only 1/2 of what the previous game had lol.
