Worth the money, the time, they did not disappoint with the second release of The Forest

The game is enjoyable for the first 15 to 30 hours, but it becomes unplayable without mods as time goes on. The beginning is the best part of the game; however, as you continue to buy new product licenses, after about 6 or 7 of them, you have to set up a stock with restockers (which take an eternity to do their job, even though they seem fast compared to the cashiers). This is where the game starts to become annoying. With time, you end up with an automated shop with cashiers and restockers, leaving you with only three tasks: changing prices, buying products you're short on, and placing the bought products onto the racks in your storage. Yes, that's all, until you can finally buy another license to have even more products to replenish later on.

In conclusion, without mods, the game eventually becomes an idle game once you automate your shop (which will happen sooner or later).

After the idle gaming starts, mods save this game. They can either provide everything you are missing in the early access gameplay or add cool designs, visuals, new furniture, and overall useful add-ons.

In conclusion, with mods, the early access game becomes enjoyable again, preventing it from becoming annoying to play for more than 30 hours on the same save.

Overall conclusion, the game has great potential but needs regular updates. The developers should add an ultimate goal beyond just buying all the licenses and shop upgrades, as this currently leads to idle gaming.

Enjoyed my time playing this game. Played both survival and story mode. The ambient sounds and the graphics really helps you to deeply immerse yourself into this true survival experience.

Maybe the building mechanic isn't as fluid as in other games like The Forest (see Sons of the forest) but the Try to survive in the Amazon rainforest aspect of the game is quite enjoyable. This game focuses more on realism rather than on fantasy, cool story, sandbox survival.

I recommend the game to every fan of survival type games, especially those who like survival in wilderness games.
