main complaints are currently, not very well optimized, and crashes on the start of a specific mission. didnt have a single problem at all the rest of the time i was playing. when i can get past that mission without it freezing and crashing this will change

Update, after the hotfix on 9/11/2024, they have somehow made the problem worse. now when the same exact mission is launched, it just blackscreens me and freezes all proccesses but runs in the background

game is now working fully as faras my pc is concerned. still runs kinda bad, and i dont have a crappy computer, but overally runs fine. definitely needs some optimization

so after a lot more time in the game i have a few other things to say. main issue being, i seem to be the only guy that has the bug where war thunder will seize then decide to turn half of everything invisible. doesnt happen in custom battles, doesnt happen in the lobby. it only happens in live matches when im either about to push someone, or when im out in the open. i know its not mypc, because this is literally the only game out of the hundreds ive played that dos this. everything is up to date. so its something on gaijins end. lets also not forget the favorite where enemies will quite literally go in and out of render while im looking straight at them. others have also reported this issue. volumetric shells honestly, imo, need to either be reworked or removed entiredly.

i had it on my wishlist for quite a while, and decided to grab it and lumencraft(which were on sale together for cheap, both games id reccomend) and ive been enjoying myself. fun, easy to get used too, controls are nice.

if you value you sanity, do not play this game. you get punished if you do good, game is heavily favored to people who have played since the start, and constantly puts you up against them. and War Gaming, the company behind the game, does not punish anyone who breaks the rules. i have had plenty of game ruined because of people who decided to throw the match, and sent in plenty of reports in on them, only for WG to just throw it in the garbage saying, "meh its not our issue."

a really well polished game, with a few things id reccomend fixing. a few bugs, like wood falling through the ground, clipping via stone foundation and other floors if the floor is placed first. this sint a bug, but it seems the ragdoll physics are based off a stick figure inside each animal, and while it is funny to see what forms they take before they become solid(like a deer trying to perform some kind of complex yoga while battleing inner deamons), it does throw off the immersion a tad.

while ill admit the graphics could be better, the game is a little pay to win, and it is a little slow, it is a good game. while i was visiting my mom i reinstalled it after 1 and a half years and once i logged in i got over $100 dollars worth of gold in game to catch me up. not only do the devs implement this, gold is also easily acheivable in game earning 5 max a game if you do good. and the current things that they have in game with the keys and the points that you can get also allow players to get bots and weapons that they would not be able to buy with the non premium currency. all in all its a balanced game. it can be pay to win but they have to invest hundreds to be able to get anything decent in game.

its just a good game
