Rust is a survival game that, at first, will be extremely frustrating and difficult. At first, you probably won't even like the game. However, with friends, learning how to play this game will be a game experience you will love. Putting time into the game is something that is NECESSARY. Having one of the most toxic communities I've ever seen, you will struggle to find literally, I stress this, literally, anyone to help you succeed in the game. You will log out, and the server continues without you, leaving your base fully exposed to anyone who has enough sulfur to raid you. Over time, you will develop ways to keep your loot safe, and might find yourself playing in your most successful wipe you have ever had. Rust is unlike many other shooters in the sense that it is completely based off of how well you can control recoil, simply because it's not like COD where you can just shoot without worrying about it, and not like games like CS:GO or Rainbow Six Siege where it can be a 1 shot to the head. Rust is like a chore or job when you get really into the game, which is where zerging will come in. Zerging is basically playing in a massive group, and many will give you a lot of hell for doing it because it ruins the game for smaller groups. To continue, playing official Facepunch servers is next to impossible. Hackers run the servers. You must play third party servers, such as rustoria, rustafied, or rusty moose. Rustafied being my personal favorites, you will find people "Maining" these servers, and I do this too. You will see the same people every wipe, whether you like them, or are friends with them. Through all the ups and downs, it will come down to how much patience, skill, and enjoyment you have for the game. I would recommend this game for those who like survival games, PVP, and a bit of trash talking.
