As a Roman archaeologist and historian... I got some points to make:
Historical accuracy of this game tho is... putting it nicely: Bastardised... Some little examples: Nero reigned between 54-68 CE as the last Julio-Claudian emperor. He never set a foot in the Colosseum ampitheatre (completed 80 CE)... which was Funnily enough built on top of Nero's lavish gardens, just to spite his memory /legacy (Sihuli 2024). And Commodus, the supposed son of Nero... was born in 161 CE...
So... Either Nero produced a child during his unnatural years as a lich lord, or the game's timeline is as scrambled as the writer who thought Boedica ever managed to leave the British Isles, yet alone penetrate to the heart of the Roman Empire during its heyday.

Could write an article on the inaccuracies of this brilliant mess.
Gameplay made me want to kill some barbarians for the GLORY OF ROME!
A neat silly package.
4/5

I think someone was watching Ridley Scott's Gladiator when creating the historiography for this game.
