442 Hours spent on this game on steam, I might have more than 1000+ hours on the standalone. First 50Hrs of this game is a struggle to learn the SU-25T and dominate that great plane. Once you get it you start to feel gratified, and you feel like you can do everything. Except CAP, that plane isn't designed to do that. Above 100 Hours, the game start to feel repetitive because the only plane you can use for combat is that one, The TF-51D Is just for people who love to fly old school WWII planes. and that one teaches you how to do it on real life.

The rest 135Hr till 441Hrs spend is because of FC3, this DLC is a great starter pack for those who seems to love this game and if you know how to SU-25T you pretty much know how to Flanker, MIG29, Eagle and A-10A,
And way above that, just learning full fidelity aircraft like the A10C II, KA-50, F/A18C, F16C, F15E.
So far, the Most keyboard friendly modules are those ones mention in order A10C being the most to F15E being the worst of them

In my opinion this game is awesome, is for people that really wants to learn how to fly a Plane, And takes this as a hobby, and likes to read 150 Pages of manual of fly a single plane, reading instruments and knowing what is capable the plane or not. If you don’t like what I said, this game may not be for you.

If you want to start this game, Learn first the Non-Full fidelity planes like the SU-25T and FC3 DLC, once you like and get it try full fidelity planes like TF-51D, and the if you want to pay The best bang for your buck is the Flaming Cliffs 3 this is the best so far DLC, But if you one detail, the beloved A-10C for planes or a Jack o’ all trades F/A-18C Hornet/F15E Strike Eagle when is on sale, and for helicopters the KA-50/AH-64D. OR you could try them for free on the standalone version of this game ANY airplane of your choosing for 2 weeks, and decide if you like it or not. But do mind taking advantage of this time since it only lets you do this every 6 month of the module you choose.

Ok the bad and ugly: Since this game is made by so many third-party developers, there’s no a north pole of how to develop this game and is full of bugs on some modules and strange behavior... Again, did I mention modules, yes also that this game is made on modules that are DLC, but most likely very detailed DLC for a single aircraft, it’s like a game within the game.

Since this game is full on DLC, as any other Ubisoft or EA games, it splits the player base apart, and some can do something that others can't. And speaking of DLC's the reason that made me change the standalone version from the Steam one, is that they stopped using Starforce keys on new updates DLC's, meaning that you can't have the same DLC in both versions. but that's only for newer DLC’s, just check if is still using StarForce keys, if not then just switch to standalone version.
The store of ED offers some better deals than here. for example, I bought FC3 here for 24$ and on the store is for 20$.

To anyone who read this DO NOT buy Hawk T.1A from VEAO Simulations is joke of simulation, an instance that this game is made from good and bad developers, and so many hands of different companies in this ecosystem of game, and plus is an obsolete module now

TL: DR:

Overall, as any other game filled with bugs but some of them are unplayable for some aircraft. Some are annoying or funny, play it if you want to study and understand the aircraft, try the free ones and the trials of some of them in the standalone version, you can decide after and finally. A Rewarding game or Sim if you take the time to understand the systems.

As a rule of thumb, to play safe just buy ED made modules in general, but again Just do your own research, this theme might change since so many hands are into this. 7/10 GG
