If you are going to force everyone to stream all of the data then at least ensure you can handle the load. This is Microsoft of all people too. What are you even doing over there? Apart from this there are many really inexcusable bugs in the game (planes load in with no sound, missions are broken, landmarks that you want me to photograph don't load in). You didn't even make sure the first handful of career missions functioned properly which is very telling of the overall quality. I'm sure in 6 months most of these issues will be fixed and the game will be in a much better place but, again, this is Microsoft so I'm not sure why you aren't already on top of this.

What a fun, cozy game. Very easy to make nice little villages.

A great little story driven game. Very chill to go through. The story will take you 2 to 3 hours.

Early Access Review
This game has no right to be this good. If you are a fan of Football Manager or Out of the Park Baseball but sometimes wished for a somewhat simplified version of a sports management game then this is something that you would enjoy. While all of the game mechanics are simplified the dev did a great job of nailing the perfect balance of depth for every mechanic.

Lots of bugs and the performance is terrible but it lays the groundwork for a very good game once they hopefully patch a few things up.

What is disappointing is the limited number of assets. Only one elementary school, one police station, etc. Only a few different building types for each zone/plot size leads to very copy and paste looking areas. It's just not good enough to expect modders to create the assets.

Traffic AI is "improved" but it's still terrible. Cars take highway off ramps just to take the on ramp again. They do not use all lanes as advertised and you see many of the same lane switching leading to congestion as we saw in CS1.

The economy seems broken too. I'm not sure how much of this economy actually exists or is just made up on the fly. Garbage collection also seems broken and it has something to do with the way that trucks are dispatched to collect resources. There is also no financial hardship in the game. I don't see how you can make a city and not be up a hundred million dollars after a few hours even when spamming city services.

Overall, kind of a let down but one of those games that might be worth buying either when they fix it in a year or two or if it goes on sale.

This game is "fine". For every feature and mechanic the game has to offer they all come up short and are too shallow. The game lacks depth and it really becomes apparent around 40-50 hours in. If you want to buy wait until it goes on sale for $20.

EDIT: the copy and pasted response to my review from Bethesda is very ironically reflective of the copy and paste nature of the game

There is no actual strategy involved in this game. Tyre management doesn't exist in this game somehow. There are barely any DNFs or crashes in the races. There is no actual race strategy at any point, it's rather bizarre. Your only option is to do a one-stop during the race, either M-H or H-M because soft tyre give no pace advantage (!?), and then get stuck in a DRS train. You would think that you can mitigate this by performing well in quali but there is no strategy there either; simply send out your car when there isn't the traffic jam and hope that someone on their out-lap or in-lap doesn't ruin your drivers lap (spoiler, they will, everytime). There isn't even much in terms of day to day management of the team or car development. Very massive lack of depth overall in the game. Disappointing. Also the fact that it seems this will be a full price yearly release is awful. I don't think anyone involved in making this game knows what F1 is.

Everything you wanted battlefield games to be.

HOWEVER, the game has serious performance issues and is headed towards implementing micro transactions.
