Controls are good, gameplay is fun, story is great, and overall its a good time. Game looks great most of the time, but some ground areas look bad- however you're flying so it doesn't really matter. Its short and sweet, though I honestly wish it was longer. Would love to spend more time as monarch and the game overall. Only couple complaints is that there not enough aircrafts that allow you to use double standard missles, the game doesn't give you enough money to buy some of the really late game planes unless you either buy nothing or grind mission 13 for a hot while, and that there are no late game dual seaters to fly with prez (fully voice acted co-pilot) in.

The game itself is pretty great but suffers from major balance issues when it comes to mutant health and the economy as a whole. But bigger than that, it is buggy as hell- like there is a high chance on your playthrough that the main quest-line glitches and you cannot progress anymore to beat the game. The previously great AI system no longer works at all. Also it is very clearly poorly optimized- as the patch that released today which is essentially just a bunch of value changes in the code was 13 whole gigabytes. Do NOT buy now. I will make this review positive when the game is actually playable. And also this deserves the review bombing as I am posting this.
If you are looking for games similar, play the old S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. Fallout New Vegas is a great open world game too- but these are really old so get some patches for them to rid of any problems.
There are a lot of fanmade games/expansions for the old stalker games, Radiophobia 3, Stalker Anomaly, and Misery are some examples of varying quality.

The recent update has been a mess but the game itself is still great. Either downpatch, get community mods to fix bugs, or wait for more patches.

We need to keep supporting the game through this time, the devs have showed they care. This was more likely a problem from executive decisions (unifying the codebase) rather than the few devs working on the game at gearbox. Also to gearbox, for the love of god, hire more employees.

Dont buy this, save your money. Not only did they break the game with the update previous they also ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the balancing with this dlc.

Downgrade the game, and never look back.

Really fun. To describe it in short words: if FEAR and Ultrakill had a baby it would be Trepang 2.

I mean its alright but not worth 20 dollars go play fnv instead

Honestly a great game modded or not.
Singleplayer is great, the campaigns are really fun and unique and I've replayed them all several times.
Multiplayer is sometimes good sometimes bad. Best with just a group of friends most of the people who still play pve/pvp online are really sweaty and not fun.
Though honestly you get so much from modding the game id reccomend it to everyone. Like even if you don't like anything crazy or want scripts there's reanimations and texture mods to just make the game look better. But if you want to make the game into whatever theres probably already a mod for it, and if not theres many tutorials on how to make one.
so go play the damn game and stop looking at reviews
