The developers need to give themselves pats on the back, this is the first game to make me feel genuine fear. Bravo!

While it's very fun to play alongside your favorite heroes in this game, the fun kind of wears off after you reach Level 30.

I got a steam card when DC games were on sale. There were four games that I purchased in total, Scribblenauts: Unmasked, Lego Batman: The Video Game, Injustice: Gods Among Us ( Which I refunded due to the outrageous download time ), and Batman: Arkham Asylum. I must say how glad I am that I got Arkham Asylum, I decided to continue it one morning when I had nothing to do and I must say, I had a blast. The aesthetic as you go through the Asylum is epic, and is probably one of my favorite parts in the game. Going out on the lower levels, escaping from the Batcave when Poison Ivy attacks, and just, looking at that moon. For me, it was truely nostalgic from the first time I played this game, and alot of other stuff in the game truely fit Batman's atmosphere. The combat is very fun, and although not as speedy and doesn't have much variety as the other three games, is very cool, and fits the way Batman fights. The same goes for the Predator maps. Batman uses stealth when fighting criminals, so it aswell fits his fighting style. The story is very well-written, and well-executed, and it captures certain characters amazingly, especially characters like The Joker or Scarecrow. Scarecrow especially, since all the scenes with him were undeniably way past clever and creative. All in all, this game gets a 10/10. I've loved the Batman character all my life, and this game gives me even more reason too. Please, if you have the money for it, purchase this amazing game.
