I'm a railroad historian who plans on opening my lifelong dream of a Railroad Museum soon. I've been studying and collecting for over 40 years and have a 62 acre site picked out. I've worked as a steam locomotive fireman on a tourist railroad and was a freight conductor for the BNSF for almost 10 years. I've been all over the U.S. and other places photographing steam excursions and documenting railroading in general. My grandmother was the lead technician at the Louisiana State Museum who I learned my love of research from. My uncle was a railroad engineer on the Kansas City Southern from 1940-70. He was an avid HO scale modeller and ran the KCS model railroad exibit at the Louisiana State Fair where I learned my love of model railroading. My father was a HO modeller and serious railfan. It might be what you'd call the "perfect storm" of genetics in order to be a railroad historian. I went on my first railfan outing in 1965 to photograph the U.P. #8444 running from Denver to Sterlin. I've been many places and photographed numerous railroads and events over the decades. I LOVE RAILROADING!

I'm a BIG fan of TRANSPORT FEVER!

I'm also a Military Historian and have read 7,000+ books (mostly WW2). My Dad was in WW2 in the ETO. He just passed away about 5 months ago at age 90.

I also play HEARTS OF IRON 4.

Trainman, I have a headlight off of a KCS steam engine(1897) sitting in my living room and numerous other artifacts stored in many other locations. I will be very happy once I buy the land and actually start construction.
