Super fun 3D hotline-miami like. The art in the cutscenes has some serious charm to it. The music is pretty good and the gameplay is great. I definitely would've paid a few bucks for this.

Fun way to kill 20 minutes! If you're experienced with bullet hell games you'll probably breeze through it but I still enjoyed my time!

The best way I could describe Ghostrunner is if Mirrors Edge, Doom Eternal, Hotline Miami, Cyberpunk 2077, and Apex Legends all had a gangbang. The combination of dashing, sliding, and grappling make this game's movement so addicting. The levels are absolutely massive and full of really fun and challenging platforming. Although the game is pretty linear there is a ton room for exploration and I never ran into an invisible wall anywhere (the cardinal sin of gaming.) You feel very free in this game and it's very clear the developers value player exploration and innovation in pathfinding. The combat feels responsive and smooth, and with checkpoints being extremely frequent getting killed in one hit never feels unfair. The OST is absolutely incredible, I actually found out about the soundtrack to the game before playing it. Listening to the soundtrack first may have been one of the biggest influences in me purchasing the game; it's that good. I've never been interested in speedrunning a game but Ghostrunner makes me want to get into it. The only part of this game that feels a little weak is the storyline, but similar to a game like Mirror's Edge gameplay comes first and story comes second. It's easy to learn and hard to master but I would recommend this game to anyone.

Performance was really choppy, always online features in a single-player parkour game, and taking away core abilities from the first game to force you to unlock them later? I feel like Catalyst lost a lot of what made the first game great by shoving in innovations that are unnecessary at best and annoying at worst. Would love to see a revitalization of this series in the future but skip this one for sure.

Neat technical demo. Don't go in expecting much and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

When you boot up a game for the first time and it has a banger title menu song you just know it's going to be good. I really enjoy Steamworld Heist. It has a very unique charm to it and brings a surprising amount of challenge to the turn based genre. The beginning may seem hard at first but when you start to learn some of the core mechanics the game opens up so much. I'm 6 hours in currently and feel like I've barely scratched the surface of the content on offer. Highly recommend!

I'm not the type of person to leave a negative review on games, but genuinely stay away from this. You'll see a video of someone struggling to play it and think, "that guys an idiot, I play hard games, I could do this no problem." Every ******* time I boot up this game I'll get past a certain frustrating area that I was stuck on forever-only to end up messing up and somehow regressing all of the knowledge I had getting up in the first place. In your typical 'difficult' game you'll die or lose progress due to something that feels like your fault. In this game you'll get 45 minutes into a playthrough and accidentally bonk your hammer against a wall and find yourself all the way at the beginning again. It doesn't feel like, "aw shucks i'll get it this time!" it feels like..."wow...this is the level of masochism that I put myself through for fun? what kind of depraved human being am I to subject myself to such cruelty? what am i trying to prove to myself here? if god loved us why does something like this exist?" I genuinely don't know what demonic force keeps pulling me back to this game thinking things will turn out differently. Save your sanity and just don't.

Solid modern rendition of a classic title. Enough innovation to bring a new spin on things but not so much as to ruin the feel of the original. Definitely worth picking up if you're a fan of the Pac Man Series!
