I have no idea how to add spoilers in reviews so, yeah you've been warned.

This game is not finished. There are a lot of bugs, broken mechanics that are crucial to the game, easy exploits, etc.
That's all I have to say on the gameplay side.
The story is practically impossible to make out with only this game. Except the main character's plot. There are other things left unexplained though. Why was the neighbor keeping his children in his basement ? What happened to his wife ? What does the shadow monster represent ? Now of course these questions could be answered in the sequel, but the developers never hinted at one. Now, if these answers might be answered in the sequel, why is this a bad thing ? Well, it's part of the reason I said might.

This game had so much traction going forward. It was one of those games that became popular with kids. FNAF, Bendy, (why are they always horror ?) etc. Yet, this fanbase just died after this game. Maybe it's because this game was left a half assed mess. Going back to the lore questions, there was a framed photo of the Main character and the neighbor sitting on a porch in the game. However, this detail, this one detail that was the pathway to plausible theories and lore directions, was removed. This meant so many theories of what people had were completely made invalid. This wasn't the only one. The photo of the neighbor and another person doing a pose similar to religious art which hinted at a satanic story, was also removed. So was the 666 tag under the neighbor's shoe. What I'm saying is, I think that the fact Dynamic Pixels keep randomly removing crucial plot points out of the story, and pop out unfinished games that had loads of fuel in the hype train, was the reason the new Hello Neighbor game is barley being talked about. The best I can say is that the Act 3 house was creative and a fun part of the game itself. Too bad the biggest part of the game is just a dream.

Early Access-recension
Right now, I can't say much since it's still in early Alpha. But, if a game is incredibly fun during early Alpha(which it is) you should look into buying it. Fair warning, the Postal franchise as a whole has not differed from making controversial takes. From poop jokes to Isis, there's a lot of adult humor in this franchise. Also, if you are planing to buy this, two things to keep in mind. 1. You support the developers more by purchasing Postal 4 through the official website and 2. It will probably be more expensive once it's (hopefully!) finished.

The ending sucked.
And theres more !
I bought this thinking it would be a game about two dudes hackin' stuff
WRONG
it try's to be a visual novel but has no visuals and I hate the fact those two guys was that one douchebag in the beginning. You could have done so much with those characters, but NOPE
that douchebag doesn't even get anything to justify him being a douchebag.
for a game called "HACK_IT" pressing "next" over and over and over again isn't what I'd think would be hacking. Just get Hack net or uplink and let this game rot away.
-which should be free-
