Celeste is a phenomenal game. This game isn't just any ordinary 2D platformer with a pixelly artstyle from an indie developer. Celeste stands out and it's really just amazing.

The story tells a very compelling inner conflict with the protagonist, Madeline, who wants to climb Celeste Mountain to cope with her emotions. The gameplay uses and takes full advantage of its story, with gameplay elements and segments reflecting the inner conflict Madeline has with fear and depression.

With every new stage in Celeste, there's a new obstacle or gimmick that always keeps the game fun and fresh. The level design is also great. It's challenging, but fair. Dying feels more of your own fault than the developer's fault. The dash mechanic, one of the things that makes this game unique, is utilized and complemented with the level design. Strawberries, the main collect-able in the game, provide very fun and puzzling platforming challenges as well.

The controls, although hard to learn at first, are extremely tight and precise. The soundtrack is memorable and catchy. So many of the tracks are just pure bliss and complement their respective stages very well. I would seriously recommend this game to anyone, I have nothing but positivity for this game.
