Amazing Game

Ok I'm pretty sure I'm over 10 hours into Sunbreak now and I want to make a clear and honest review since a lot of ppl here that making negative reviews seems to be either a noob, don't know what they are doing, rush contents, lying for views or all of the above.

1. Game is hard, that is undeniable, monster can hit half your HP away if you are not geared, whoever said the game is easy is probably already in the top few percent of the playerbase in term of skill level anyway. And the game SHOULD be hard, that is what MASTER rank is all about, it's not LOW rank, not HIGH rank, it's MASTER rank so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, complaining about difficulty automatically voided your opinion.

2. In term of crashing and other problems, make sure you are not modded, I have 3 different people playing with me, me and another person ran into a problem early because I have a couple of reframeworks mod on and that what cause the game to be unplayable, fixed after deleting the mods, I have failed to see any vanilla players have this problem, the game run smooth from the get-go for them.

3. Complaints about bloated HP and monster tankiness? My brother in Christ, you probably still using HR gear with blue sharpness, or maybe you do have quote on quote "the best gear in the game" in your opinion, but the game only been out for a few days and there has little to no collective info and testing on what is best, so I HIGHLY doubted that you have the best gear, let's get that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out of the way.

4. corrupted saves problem? Boy I do not know what you did and it's not like I don't believe you when you said you don't do mod but save files are cloud-based and if there is any problem just pull one from the cloud. That shouldn't be a problem in the first place or it have anything to do with the game itself..

5. Not really a point but just wanna reiterate that the game only been out for a few days, and people over here clearing sunbreak "final boss" and leaving negative reviews, that to me doesn't sounds like a good review is it? Just saying. Take your time enjoy the game and the world, stop rushing contents and get mad when you dont find the "fun", sorry but you ruin it yourself.

Love the nature + tech design and smooth gameplay plus UI feel, this game is a great addition if you like roguelite!!!!

One of the most inclusive and best Monster Hunter installment! Promising over 100 hours of content, recommend to play with friends!

First of all, I have to start by saying that I got this game for quite cheap because of my region, $13 for this game is def worth it, I heard it is 30 for my friend in the US and that is a bit much, that being said, it is a very fun combat-focused game if you can get over its problem.

This is what the game is great about:
-Stunning visual
-Smooth combat
-Cool looking cosmetics that come WITH the game
-Loot is cool so far
-Level design and themes
-Challenging combat

This is what the game is not great about:
-Story and voice acting (so far) 12 hours in (edit: just finished the campaign, yeah this statement holds)
-Require replaying stages for grinding (I mean it is a looter)
-Tutorial gave off a "cheap" feel to the game, luckily the first boss in the tutorial gives you a taste of what Godfall is all about.


Despite its shortcomings and being released as an Epic exclusive for a while way past its "hype" phase, I still think Godfall is a great game and deserves more than what it got, it is a looter, so naturally, it serves a certain type of crowd, so if you don't like looter, don't buy the game, if you like looter then consider getting it at a cheaper price but honestly it is up to you if $30 is worth a FULL triple A-game, overall I would still give it a positive review, I recommend going in with zero expectation and let the game surprises you because I think if you are quick to dismiss Godfall due to unnecessary hate, and reviews that don't even cross-over the 2 hours mark (for an understandable reason) you are missing out on one hell of a looter game.

Once again this review is originally written at 3 hours gameplay mark, might change later on (read my edit), I made this purely because there is an unreasonable amount of hate surrounding this game because of player expectations and also because this used to be heralded as a "next-gen trailblazer" back when it was first teased, expectations were off the chart... But I care more about debunking/shedding light on the actual game itself, this is coming from a guy who played Warframe, Destiny, Borderlands 2-3, Outriders, for thousands of hours (you can see it in my profile) so I understand what a looter needs to succeed and Godfall definitely has the gameplay department down!

Edit: Just finished the campaign, yeah the story is non-sense, the scriptwriting is elementary, and the voice acting is ok, not good or bad, that being said the game has codexes that you can find along the way to give a MUCH BETTER lore reading experience. HOWEVER Gameplay is still fire and building your character for the increasingly difficult challenge is very fun, whoever complains about the game being easy or the AI etc. hasn't seen the boss fights in the later stages yet, visual effects and design are still great, literally, no complaints on the art department there. Overall? Still recommend this game if you are a huge fan of looters.

TL;DR: Finished the story, currently working on the add-on contents, the statement holds, I recommend this game if you like looter, skilled and challenging combat, diversity in builds, crazy-looking visual effects and theme choices, cool armor design, and hate microtransactions cuz this game has none, everything is earned through hard work!

This is a masterpiece
