I don't like the "role thing" and never did. For me there is no difference between hard lane player and solo mid player. It's still Dota.
Good players know how to play Dota. And if you are a good player, you can play anything the team needs, because you understand the game.
Bad players use excuses like "I am good at carry, but bad at support" and things like that - by Dota Player.
