Been waiting to get this game for 4 years, ever since it was a PlayStation exclusive.
And I've gotta tell ya, the wait was worth it.
This is everything I have wanted from a Spider-Man game and more!
The story is engaging, combat is fluid, stealth feels good, the suit variety is insane and most of all, the web swinging is absolutely amazing!
If you have not play this game before, go for it!

Despite a few frustrating levels and uncooperative camera, the game is really good! It controls fairly well, the level design is great, the soundtrack is an absolute banger and the story is engaging. Although the cutscenes may not look that good, SEGA and Sonic Team did a pretty godd job with the technical limitations they had at the time of making the game (early 2000's).

Dead By Daylight could have been a really good multiplayer game, but it has 2 major problems that stop me from reccomending this game to someone new.

First one, which probably most, if not all DBD players are aware of is the predatory monetization system this game has. There are a lot of characters with so-called "meta" perks and abilities that are locked behind a paywall because they were added through a collaboration with a third party IP. Some of the DLC's cost almost as much as the game itself. And although the unlicensed content can be unlocked for free, you will need to grind a considerable amount of hours to unlock just a single character. Not to mention if you want to buy cosmetics for your favorite characters, they will drain your bank account even more. So if you don't want to spend extra money on this game, you will be at a disadvantage and even if you don't care about the meta, you still won't be able to get the full experience DBD has to offer.
Dead By Daylight is a paid game that has the microtransaction system of a free to play game. Even if they decide to go free to play at some point, the monetization system has to be reworked and most importantly, no character should be locked behind a mandatory paywall.

And the second huge problem this game has is the barrier of entry for new players being really high. Not only the roster has a huge ammount of characters and a lot of different perks you have to learn how to use and counter effectively, the game also doesn't properly teach the players what they have to do. The in-game tutorials are very poorly made and don't provide the necessary information they need to know and have to use external sources to learn how the game works. (For example the survivor tutorial basically teaches you to abandon your teammates and save your own skin). And like I said above, you have to grind a ton of hours in order to unlock the full potential of the character you want to play (whether you play survivor or killer).

I will not talk about the community, even though the playerbase is pretty toxic, the devs can't really do much about it and neither you or me can change thousands of people.

With that being said, I know not everyone will see these things as issues and if you think they will not affect your enjoyment of the game, then go ahead, even though I don't recommend Dead By Daylight, I can't stop you from buying it. The purpose of this review is to bring these issues to light so that maybe the people at BHVR can do something about them and for you who is reading this to keep in mind and come to your own conclusion.
