1. There's lots of things that suggest it's a port of a mobile game (the biggest giveaway being the UI and the way it functions).

2. The game works sorta better in 1920x1080 than the OG alien Shooter (the game doesn't require an exe hack for that, doesn't crash on some levels and tiles don't flicker) yet there's still no interface scaling in-game.

3. The entire level design revolves around blowing up enemy spawners with explosives that are sometimes hidden deep in the enemy lines (which means you'll have to bruteforce your way through nearly infinite conga lines of death purely relying on medkits, pickups that either randomly drop from the aliens or the ones that are just there along the way or just the will of the god of your choice) and using turrets that are generously scattered across the levels and upgrade automatically the further you progress into the game.

4. The final level might as well be nigh impossible (at least on the hard difficulty) since the game decided to abruptly finish the level not even letting me kill the final boss who has ludicrous amounts of health.

Sigma Team somehow finally made an Alien Shooter game with too many enemies to the point that even the newly introduced turrets can't always stop them.

Just play Alien Shooter 1 or 2.
