The Ascent is a hidden gem. Amazing vibrant and living cyberpunk world. Dark and lost hope atmosphere in a crowded megacity with incredible level of details on every spot of the maps. There are plenty of unique atmospheric locations to explore.

Beware: This is an Action-RPG ! Its Hack'n Slash with guns. Story and character biography are meaningless.

Character builds with skills, augmentations, weapon and armor choices become more important on a higher difficulty, especially if you want to speed run the game and enter maps at a minimum character level possible while enemies are set to hard difficulty.
If you play normal, this is a vibrant and action packed game which you can fight non-stop without any boring story or customization breaks.

Violence level is nice, this is very important for a good cyberpunk game imo and ARPG games fans.

Cyberpunk (aka "Tech noir") questions the existence of anything special since there are billions of individuals each with sins, defects and unpleasant thoughts, which in reference to the gigantic size of the cities and society embark dark places everywhere, even directly under the brightest flashlights. This takes place in this stunning ARPG, where cruel and brutal wars of corporations, gangs and individuals get under in this whole chaos of a world.
The Ascent is not only dystopian fiction, it shows a futuristic universe with lots of biological diverse evolution and technology to satisfy bizarre decadence and drug infected waste of life, from working at the bottom through the waste of all those humans and facilities up to the corrupt and decadent hi-life as well as mind controlling agencies and defected minds of lost beings such as humans, mutations, cyborgs, robots etc.
If you defeated all enemies in an area, the NPC will return and follow their free lives, full of joy, work, trade, chill, talks, anger, crimes and such interactions with the world.

The music is dope af.

3123 hours on my main account, playing my 2nd account from zero for the fun of it. i own best of most things, have plenty of friends, met so many people, even havent played all the modes the game offers, like to be the bad guy, played in money grinder crews, tryhard crews, nowadays i like to grief for fun and challenging other players, and i still like it all, business, cars, PvE, PvP, 1v1 and DF (dogfights).

cannon fodder ftw! remember that ?! its more tactical than it might seem from a first look, especially if your not familiar with tactical action wargaming. there are some good workshop items. you can play alone against massive quite-good-ai or coop/versus multiplayer in trigger-happy and really fair and balanced crowded battlefields, from small to 3 factions large maps or 1-life-perma-death missions (not that much action for raging team members). team play varies from "running with scissors" to timed assaults, hit&run or simple 1-finger shoot-dont-think-action. you can set up each game for many purposes, e.g. how much/fast extra equipment you get or how easy you can do 1-man-army, so a map can last 1 minute or many hours with hundreds of kills or deaths ;)
