This is a classic open world RPG. There's literally no story, and the game leans on that quite hard with its gameplay, with you as a sellsword in a Medieval land, and that's ultimately a strength.

I totally ignore some of the "janky" and "dated" stuff because the combat is so fun, and the rewards you get can be a nice incentive to do things.

The mods elevate the base game into stratospheric levels of awesomeness, play some, you'll find out.

I love the game. I grew up on this game. Sometimes I still play it to this day. I hope it never dies.

It probably won't tbh

I remember playing the first few Bloons games on Cool Math Games in school. With the 6th one, it's both a throwback and a breath of fresh air, with new bloons and monkeys that make me smile and go "wtf."

If you've ever played any BTD game on Cool Math Games in school, please get this. Please. If you haven't... get it nevertheless. It's so much darn fun!

I grew up on this game when it first came out, and now that the Definitive Edition has been released with new content (USA! USA!), it's rekindled my love of Age of Empires, stemming from when I played the very first one as a Kindergartener.

The game's awesome, the Shipment Cards are awesome, the AI personalities are a breath of fresh air for the series, I feel the civs are balanced for the strengths they're supposed to be played for, and all in all, it just makes me giddy.

If there was a "Maybe" option for recommendations, I would press that button for this game.

The UI is really weird, reminds me of like the early 2000s or something. It kind of makes it a chore to play the game. Nearly everything is clicking, which means that if you're used to hotkeys, this game will be wonky for you.

On the surface it looks decent, but I feel that it lacks true substance. I feel that the policies I make don't really affect any lives, I don't feel truly invested in the leading of my country. Nevertheless, the very ability to set national policies is a big plus that I just don't see in more popular, shinier-looking city-building sims. Hopefully the developer will expand upon this aspect later.

Multiple towns and the central city connected through resource sharing and net gains/deficits is a fun and interesting challenge that adds a layer of strategic thinking to an otherwise unimpressive-looking game, which means that this game is more complex than meets the eye.

I'm currently under the assumption that one (1!) person developed this game. If this is the case, then he did a good job for being completely alone.

Ultimately, since there is no "Maybe" recommendation, I might as well put "Yes." It's a rough-looking game with a clunky UI, but it was made by one guy. Good on him for making a game that's quickly eating up my time.

TLDR: It's a game made by one guy, and it's fun, but looks dated.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, the game slows down severely when a given city starts climbing above like 30,000-ish. It happened to me, at least.

Another edit: As I play the game more and more, I feel that the cities start to look... blah. Like, there's no unique buildings or monuments, and you can't click on the ploppable ones (like the Police HQ, the Fire Dept., etc.). Another thing that brings the game down a bit from a Yes to a Maybe for the recommendations.

If you're a fan of Spongebob, get this game. If you've ever watched Spongebob, get this game. If you're aware of the existence of Spongebob, get this game. If you're not applicable to any of the three above statements, get this game. Just get this game.

The game as a whole is amazing, sort of a Dark Souls meets Uncharted for Star Wars.

But the last ten minutes of the game is pure fan service. Would play all of it again to see those minutes all over again.

Now every time I play Jedi Academy I am waiting for Rosh to say "Never should have come here..."

Thanks Skyrim.

It's like the devs took Tropico 5 and asked "Where did we go wrong?" and make great strides to right those wrongs.

It worked to a large degree, and I enjoy the fact that they fixed the housing thing where people didn't move out of shacks and into nice homes right next to where they worked.

However! The teamsters still transport goods I don't want exported to the docks for export. Which is a$$. Oh! And tourism doesn't make money. Y.
