Absolute garbage

Graphics: The only selling point for this game is the cool looking graphics when maxed out. It feels like a last gen game with better models, textures and meshes. It completely lacks innovation and is more like a Raytracing test demo. My personal experience was around 40-45fps with lots of stuff turned down making it look horrible but with proper hardware it would look good.

Story: awful, bad voice acting, after playing for 4 hours as a nomad I had no reason to explore the story at all. After I got out of the desert there was a huge fast forward destroying any and all character development I had, suddenly I was being introduced to new characters without doing much of anything. It plays more like a visual novel that a RPG or a openworld, in fact this isnt a open world, as i forced myself to leave the story which was holding my hand every step of the way and I drove around the city on my own and half the map was locked off while bugging every step of the way(its not actully that noticeable). I didnt even know there where side jobs or side missons because of how bad the map is. The map feels suffocating because its clearly designed to be walked around not driven and if they didnt add driving or make it openworld at all, it would be a better game and clearly defined as a fps visual novel and they try to force this view on you by not letting you drive during missions and cramping you in a car for dialog options. The whole story feels like it could be in a 2d game (in a similar format to katana zero which i recommend), truly no synergy between gameplay and story.

gamplay: Its more visual novel that rpg and is really not openworld. The cybernetics and skills felt like a waste of time due to the fps nature and the hacking mechanic was not very pleasant to do. As im very accustom to fps's like csgo, fallout or R6 i didnt find any joy in the levels but you may. The strength skill needed to break into cars was very stupid when all you need to do is shoot them and then it will let you in. My main experience in this game felt like they tried to jam every feature they could into it ignoring everything else.

Overall: too much marketing hype, unkept expectations and bugs. I was expecting a openworld similar to skyrim or fallout with driving mechanics with many details around explaining the lore but no I got a copycat of gta but as a RPG with, npcs that have no AI at all. Gtas npcs have dialog when you hit them with a car too but when this is claimed to be a RPG was expecting something where you can talk to npcs when the dialog option comes up on them, I wanted to talk to them no matter how small, not the gta lines of a openworld which is NOT a RPG. Gta has random events keeping the game fun even in dull moments but this game doesnt even try to make the world feel real. Some may say dont compare cyberpunk to gta when its a rpg but its clearly 'inspired' by gta with drivinng, npcs, crash damage, the whole '♥♥♥♥ you' vibe and looking at the map its desert and a city just like califorina/ gta.

I expected a rpg, I got a visual novel closer in gameplay to minecraft story mode than any openworld RPG i've played. I can understand bugs early on (even though it should be fixed pre-released) but the lack of gameplay makes it feel like the promise of a "next gen openworld rpg with complete customization and story options" too much. It falls short in everything except graphics and useless customization that is never seen, unless you look in a mirror which is bugged out and not showing it anyway. Buy this game if you really like CDPR or if you want a game benchmark, otherwise a 10 year old game like skyrim or even the original half-life will satify you more then a RTX demo.

it looked fun and probably is but its super janky on pc and it is very pay to play since you have to buy charaters and you will probablly want some sort of controller or arcade stick to play
