Was fun until I started doing missions against hundreds of bullet sponge enemies who destroy my hp and shield and bosses that regen their hp back to max while i'm busy trying to survive all in NORMAL mode. WTF is hard mode going to be?

UPDATE: Season 1 Invasion and my opinion has not changed. This game isnt good. When you make a game mode which lasts for an 80+ days of a season which you can only do solo and u need to have a decently built character and weapon, please tell me how im supposed to enjoy the content.

Grinding the new descendant is the most frustrating thing I have ever done when the missions have modifiers which literally screw you over half the time even with a fully built thunder cage and decently built Ultimate Valby.

Started out with a PS4 controller on game pass, now I have spent over 200$ on flight sim peripherals and have become an aviation enthusiast.

Story is great which is the only reason I stuck with this game but this is the 1st and only souls-like game I will ever play.

Game is sometimes fun and graphics are very nice but there are way too many bugs, even so I still managed to play on.
The most frustrating thing I have found so far are the final bosses for each act which are very poorly designed as well as the sometimes unresponsive control inputs.

Definitely wait for a sale before buying.

Do you like to pay to have fun? Do you want to get rid of all the extra cash you have in your wallet by buying virtual items in a game? Do you want to play a game where its not skill that matters but who can press their supplies buttons first?

If you answered yes then please go ahead and play this sorry excuse of a game. I used to play this in the old days back in 2011 when it was actually a decent game but now it has gone down the toilet. Pay 2 Win doesn't even begin to explain how ♥♥♥♥ this game is and who ever got the idea for overdrives, please delete yourself from this world.

Sure there is one thing that I like better which is that you earn crystals a lot faster then before but it's one good thing in a bucket of terrible things that this game offers. The developers worry more about their sales than the actual game.

One more thing which could just probably be from my end is that it crashes every 5-10 minutes. In an hour of game time I will have 4-7 crashes which is just absurd.

Honestly avoid this game like the plague. It used to be decent in the past but it's just a pay to win ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I used to play the original tanki some time ago and that game went down the toilet with drugging and the amount of different turrets.

I decided to try tanki x which was supposed to be the new tanki and at first I was having fun until I got to the later rank, that's when it changed from who had the better skill to who had the better modules which are upgrades of 3 different tier levels. The unbalance there is when it comes to these modules is absurd making it frustrating to play especially against tier 3 ones. For example one module give you temporary god mode.

Obtaining these modules are by playing the game in its ranked mode or buying the containers for x- crystals which are bought using real money or earned slowly in game. Tier 3 are especially hard since they are obtainable only in silver league crates.

Matchmaking is a joke. It puts you in games where the rank difference is absurd and of course they will have better modules than you.

Overall this game is decent when starting but becomes frustrating unless you are willing to put in the effort to rank up and get the higher tier modules later in the game (or you have money to waste opening containers).

With only the after story left for me to clear I can safely say this was a great game. Combat was nice and story was fairly good. My only problem was that there is a lot of dungeons, maybe a bit too many especially near the final few chapters it got repetitive.

Overall took me 40+ hours to beat the main story and if you want there is also New Game+ after finishing the afterstory.

Having finished the game with almost all achievements (2 are locked for some reason even after collecting everything) here are my honest thoughts on the game.

Story

Story consists of our main character Hisako wanting to go to the surface after humanity was stuck underground for years following a war and you follow her throughout the journey making new allies and friends along the way.

Gameplay

Gameplay is focused mainly on 2 things: platforming and battle encounters. You will roam through the levels getting to different points indicated on the map with some platforming and enemies scattered along the way. In certain parts you will get blocked off from continuing and have to fight waves of enemies before being allowed to move on. You will level up and gain skill points which you can use to upgrade your character.

To fight you will have 3 different types of weapons: A melee weapon like a sword, A firearm like an assault rifle and a heavy weapon like a rocket launcher. Each of these can be upgraded and modified to get specific perks to help you during battles. Enemies will drop these weapons as well as attachments as you play along and it's up to you to customise and pick your favourite loadout to go along with during your journey.

Throughout the level there will be save points which will restore your HP and allow you to change, sell and customise your loadout. You can also fast travel using these save points to other points you have already reached.

You will also occasionally find small puzzles which you will need to solve in order to proceed or acquire certain items.

My thoughts

Story is pretty basic and nothing too special. It's very easy to follow and is of course better than having no story. Depending on how you play it can take about 20-30 hours to finish.

Platforming is nice but could be better. Certain sections are badly designed causing you to get stuck or slide off the map which can cause some frustration especially if you are in the middle of battle.

Speaking of battles, they are fun but can be very unfair. I mostly ended up having to grind to raise my level before moving along certain sections because the enemies were 2 - 3 levels above my own. Battles can also be a complete chaos with enemies and other hazards coming at you all at the same time which of course can cause you to get killed very quickly. Certain enemies will have annoying abilities which during a heated battle will be hard to avoid.

Customisation is good as you have several different combinations to use but a sorting system could have been implemented as in the later levels your inventory will be packed with weapons and attachments which can get confusing.

Overall the game is nice although certain parts could have been done better. I would personally wait for a sale before getting it but a 21 euro price isn't too bad.
