Not a very fun character overall. His skills are somewhat fun, but his primary attack is awful. New items and blood rites are also somewhat cool but they add nearly nothing to the game.

Nope.

There are better games for €5 than this which costs €20, games that don't scrap ~6 years of teased features, features that were teased on twitter and yt etc. Also those games most the time have more features and are more polished, probably because these devs didn't scrap years of progress to make last minute build. Had more fun with Trove back in the day than with this version of the game, and Trove is free ffs. Buy yourself and your friends Terraria or any other fun and cheap game, where devs know what they are doing and they know what they want. Game in it's current form is worth maybe ~€5 of fun to me, not more.

This game is really meh, between positive and negative. Just buy the first hammerwatch.

First of all don't play as Warlock, in comparison to other characters he's useless. His primary attack is this needle attack that sucks, it's hard to hit anything, you may be aiming at something straight on but you won't ever hit it. You can check it on the dummy in town, or on boxes in the dungeon. His range is also awful. Only way to play him is to spam his skills but mana is a problem, so you have to invest everything into mana and mana regen. He also is not tanky at all so you can't really get close to enemies, and you pretty much have to kill them one by one if you use your primary attack. Oh and flowers will be your bane (but the are for pretty much every character aside from paladin and ranger).

As for the game itself it's ok, but it is a grindfest. It does have a very very slow start especially if you're playing on your own. And yeah, everything will either kill you in 2 hits or in 1 hit. It's still pretty fun in co-op, up until this one boss The Watcher . To every boss there's strategy aside from this one. He's just plain annoying and not very well designed. And killing him as Warlock... yeah not fun at all. This one boss sucked all the fun from this game. I don't know about the later bosses because I'm yet to get to them. And in later levels Warlock acts mostly as a support, even though he's not designed for that I imagine. I'll leave it to you to guess which class I've chosen.

Edit: A great example of wasted potential because of, as always, greed. I no longer recommend this game due to the shady practices of the guy that claimed he's the solo dev of the game and the canceled multiplayer update. The game does not get updates anymore. It is essentially dead so keep that in mind. I regret that my money went to a person like that.

Tl;dr: Great relaxing game, buy it.

I've waited for this game a long time and bought it day one. I 100% it in 2 days.
Overall the game is really pretty and plays well (with a few quirks here and there, see down below). Quite a bit of content, ton of things to do when you first open up the game. A bit pricey, but there's more content coming and even co-op, among other things.

I'll list some cons (mostly for the dev, because they aren't game breaking):
-First thing, selecting the ground sucks, especially if you have some Droids , digging the floor up or putting it up is a chore because of that.
-You can use all the items from the safes; why is it bad...? because then there's this empty space after some item and now it goes into your inv instead. Please make it so after the item is depleted, there's a ghost version of it in place
-No inventory management - I know there are plans for that
-Game progression is weird... as in you start ok, but then game becomes too easy in a way.
-The game is far too easy, I never upgraded my HP and never died. It actually is really hard to die after you upgraded your HP (had to do this for achivement)
-Fishing for rare items is a chore as well, idling next to 4 fishing traps for an hour is not fun
-And finally - There's very little replay value; game tries to be sandbox-y but it really isn't, as of yet. It's something in between.
I'm really nit-picky here, but this game deserves some polish.

Some suggestions:
-Make the game more challenging in some way; e.g. You can buy a more expensive island in different biome but you'll have a tough time.
-Make the game a bit more random and more unique; I'd suggest making all kinds of traps, quests, puzzles, etc. and making it so in every playthrough you get them at random, not all of them just some. This would make the playthroughs a lot more unique and it'd add a lot of value to the game. Also, maybe more biomes, also random...?
-On top of that it'd be nice to have a difficulty setting and to have endless mode, where you can buy islands nearly infinitely
-Dungeons - either have some more layouts for dungeons or (I know, this is a stretch) have them procedurally generated.

I came up with some game modes that might be fun to think through;

1. This game mode that is now, but with the random quests, biomes etc.

2. Endless, or something similar;

3. Limited/survival - Islands either have limited resources or they fall apart, or both!

4. Lonely Island - you don't buy islands, instead you build out your tiny island, don't know about NPCs, etc. maybe they appear on your island or they have their own little isles that you have to get to, same with dungeons. Or maybe you have to build them houses.

Right now the game is pretty fun, but I know that I'll get a lot better. Cheers.

Great game, too bad I can't play it.
Well I regret buying prerelease, first time I done that because I know that this is great studio but oh well...
I will request a refund, I might change my review when I can actually play the game.
Only thing I can tell is that the music is top quality [from yt] I don't know anything else.

Let me just start by saying that this is my favorite game to this day.
This game never gets old and always stays challenging even when you think you know everything about it.
Every run is randomly generated so there is some rng factor but in a good way - which you don't see often in games. Also you will be finding new items for a looong time before you have them all. And I didn't even mentioned challenges and daily runs.
That said... you also will get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by the game and your own mistakes more than often and you may even rage quit at some point, but you'll always come back for more horror.
If you liked old Isaac this one is 10 times better and looks 10 times better.
This game is 10/10 for me and I'm waiting for a new DLC. ~ Ok I think that's enough, I have too much good things to say about this game and I'm getting lost in my own thoughts.

Edit: If you can - buy Afterbirth and AB+ [when it comes out] - It's worth it!

Pure Badass Game, nothing elese to say. It will never be boring and I always go back to play it again, also updates are the best thing in this game.
