The performance is horrible. It is bad on any setting, low or high. Even on a gtx 1070 with the latest drivers installed and the lowest settings possible it keeps dipping under 20fps and twitching. This, and other issues like lag, too long loading times and errors+ crashing made even under an hour of gameplay pretty terrible. The game itself has some promise. However, I think that even Early Access is a bit too early for this game. Refunded for now, will buy back later if situation improves.

Even on the easiest difficulty this game can be really challenging. Although you get away with making mistakes more, the final wave on day 147 will be the true test if you have done good enough. For me it sent my village into oblivion, but better luck next time.

I suck at this game.

My opinion of this game regarding the state and value of the current launch state of this game.

Much of the negative feedback sadly, is about how much this game differs from the first and second Dow. I do agree that the difference between this, and DoW2 for example, is quite big, considering the health values of units, price, amount of factions and the only odd Core gamemode we are stuck with.

But, I will credit the game what it does right, instead of pondering and ranting about comparisons to the older DoW titles.
+ The game does not have any game breaking bugs on release, and the beta was quite stable. Framerates etc techy stuff is fine, and the game runs smoothly on high settings.
+ Unit visuals. Many might disagree, but in combat especially the bigger mech units look great, and have a lot of detail. Lower tier units tend to be in end game just a blob of incomprehensible mess, but at least most units look somewhat like spacemarines for example.

However I feel like the game lacks polish, it feels bare bones in a way... Althought we have a campaign mode, ai battles, multiplayer, a solid army painter, no ingame cash shop, and many units to choose from, I do not see a reason why they could have not done more game modes like the classic good old Annihilation for the game`s launch. Also a 4th race would have not been bad. We have already Imperial Guard troops and machinery featured in the campaign, so why not include them as a playable faction at launch?

Got accidentally to a hacked match when it was about to end, and got the xp and profit out of the match before I could leave. Now Im max rank infamy 1, and I have everything bought, and almost everything unlocked and a couple billion dollars stored in my offshore bank. My life is complete now.

Seriously, somekind of an antihack system should be in place, otherways the game is perfect to play with friends and the family. Would recommend :)
