Walking into this game, expect to be hand held A LOT. Now having played dozens of city builders in the past, I thought that I could "wing-it" and wack the tutorials hand away.

Unfortunately, my attempts building a city resulted in a mass fire, and with the King asking for my beheading to be effective immediately.

I took five steps back and went through the hand-holding, although I hate it I was able to fully grasp the vital functions of the game, and the most important in knowing how to prevent fires from turning everything into ash and cinder.

Although the game does require some more polish on game-play. The music, art and sound effects are fantastic, but those alone cannot hold the game together if the complex planning mechanics aren't smoothed out.

The first game I played was 7 hours straight.

Within the first 2 hours, I had encountered all 3 other civilizations, the next hour was a scramble to claim as much territory as possible.

That 1 hour was the most tense and interesting experience of the game.

The leader of the Greeks and I (Mycenaean) were demanding withdrawals from claimed territories, to the point of costly skirmishes. However, I soon found that seeking alliances, trade and research agreements were far more beneficial than waging a war.

Throughout the entire game, I was never once declared war upon, even though I was not as strong as the rest of the civilizations. War never graced me and the A.I, the true war was the competition in science, technology, commerce and influence. These areas, albeit interesting, didn't really give much interaction to the greater aspects of the game, other than having to build more districts and the occasional wonder.

My faults for this game is that it is too reasonable. What I mean by that is all the leaders and functions of society are too harmonious, especially with many of the Civics (policies) essentially guaranteeing there be no sort of resistance, instability and challenges to your authority.

The strategy is by far simplistic and doesn't require any in-depth thinking; for example if I want to build a city I just hover the tiles indicating the highest yields of food, production etc. Yet, I see that this game is for anyone to hop into play for a couple of hours than hop off.

I should also note to you that the game is incredibly similar to Endless: Legends and S.M's Civilization VI, so going from those games you will be very comfortable with Humankind. Not that it is necessarily bad that the game draws a lot from those games, its more so don't expect anything significantly new and surprising.

I've read through multiple reviews already for this game, especially the 'Don't Recommend', a majority of what these reviews say are spot on.

Most importantly is the "culture-mixing", there is no such mixture of Greek, Hun and Zulu cultures. When you are about to change into a new era you are literally hopping on another civilization, where none of the previous traits or abilities carries on. You do still have the aesthetics of older cities built in the relative cultural style and special buildings, but you can never build them again. So to be clear there is no mixing, its literally tagging in a different civilization and being culturally and ethnically different from the one you just were.

The only real uniqueness in the game is that it offers a alternative way to play the same 4X methods, the graphics are nice and the music is decent.

But the game needs to be updated, I cannot tolerate that humankind can be completely peaceful from the neolithic era all the way to the contemporary era. We as a species are brutal, greedy and manipulative creatures who will stop at nothing to have their way, never has their been a diplomatic meeting where both sides compliment each other and behave reasonably.

For God's sake how can a game of Humankind not involve genocide and sectarian violence!

In conclusion, this game is an unbaked cake, eating the batter may taste good but too much of it will give you the ♥♥♥♥♥. Buy it if you want a fresh coat of 4X, wait for it if you want a finely well aged wine.

The sole reason why I bought this game was that it has Australia and Modded Multiplayer without these two components I would have never bought the game. The mods in this game are just as diverse, fun and creative as Civ 5's workshop, for example I can play the Civ 5 Reskin, with more units and buildings, expanded gameplay from all the base mechanics, without issue during a multiplayer session. Custom Civs make a great laugh of how some are superior or in superior when given to the hands of the AI in the game. I reccomend that you buy this game during a sale so that you can instead support mod creators in the workshop to keep making great additions to the game, they are the ones who keep the Civ community alive. If I were to rate this game it would be 8/10, on the basis it has an amazing modding community.

Early Access Review
Now for me not to be hippocrictical, and not have comments saying "well this is a OLD game, give it some slack!" which to me is a mouse trap. The game's old, simplistic yet challenging gameplay sound like the ultimate veteren's game? It is to an extent, for players who have been brought up with C.O.D, Battlefield and others, WWII Online is a game that will frustrate the heck outta them. The mechanics are clunky (because its old), the controls over weapons can be unpredictable (because its OLD!) and movement couldnt be anymore 'blocky'. To put it simply, its like using a toothpick to clean your teeth instead of an electric toothbrush. This is the rawest gameplay I've played ever and I will get aggiatated at a lagged point during a gunfight where one has an SMG and another as a Bolt Action Rifle it is a 50/50 chance. The developers even say "You will die alot".

Now the developers are intriging, they have a communication lane, they update weekly, there is always to usually a sale (Ive looked at the time line from 2001), but I have a feeling that they have a identiy problem, not in a brand but by the developers themselfves, these developers have revived this game in a very complicated manner, it is hard to see, but the tangled cob web is there. This game has a rusitc structure, every so often players or the develpoers have to poke it or some cases give it an ol'good whack to get it moving.

The game itself is supported by a large majoirty by players, so when a new player joins, they are exspected to be apart of the community supporting it nuturing it etc. Now for casual gamers they will be tunred off by this, "Starter Account, Premium Acess!". Yet those funds are put into running the game itself and its updates, the game itself is on a an old safety net, it wont hold long if it is not attended to.

Casual gamers wont appreciate this antique of a game, it will come down to the "pensior" gamers who enjoy classics like this game. It is a devotion to and hard will to stick to the game. Even though I've played a bit over an hour, I can see and feel what the atmosphere is and why it is so attractive and why there is players playing a game like this, it is an exspriance like no other, you ethier dispise it or you love it with passion.

My rating for this game is a 4.5/10, You'll have to try it out for yourself to see if you like it or not.

The following paragraph lacks grammar, spelling, written expression and structure. However this is pure love for a game that I have been with for much of my adolescence.

"This game is EVERYTHING, There are no limts to this you can have Sonic the hedge hog fly an AC-130 while godzilla wrecks super mario world with Halo Grunts. There is no other game like this in Steam, the price is totaly worth it you will PSEND 100S OF HOURS on this I mean i go on to see what 30-45 DIFFRENT GAMEMODEs to choose from. This is a SANDBOX GAME more freer then any other game you can DO ANYTHING YOU WANT in this game. However due to such enorumus freedom 65% of the community may consits of Corruptive Admins and Squeakers, but that what happens when theres too much freedom on Multiplayer Publicy. Privitely well there really arent any proplems with singleplayer you choose what mods being that spaceship, gunz, NPCs (AI bots), more gunz and 1,000 of video game maps charecters weapons venchials.
This is a must buy game! Rating 9.5/10"

Sid Meier's Civilization V and all of its DLC's, along with the Workshop Community combined has to be one of the greatest 'labour of love' in the gaming community, it sets the player at the helm of an entire civilization tuned to specific and culturally appropriate traits and bonuses. You as the player begin your test to 'bulid a civilization to stand the test of time'. At first, for me, it was dauting to be placed on a strange earth-like world, yet with recognisable geography and natural wonders it made the objective of the game more comfortable to confront knowing that El Darado could be behind the endless 'fog of war', awaiting to be apart of my glorious empire.

One aspect of the game that makes it so addicting, and I think others will agree, is the amount of power and control given to you. You as the leader of millions of people of a civilization whether it be the U.S.A or the Roman Empire, decide their fate, their culture and thier decesions. Having all this power is addicting and it becomes even more addiciting with the immerseviness that this game acheives, and its fair to say that after a thousand hours it is a load of fun. Other abilities such as declaring war on your foes, forming alliances with other civilizations that follow your ideals, constructing man-made wonders like the Hanging Gardens or the Kremlin gives you the incentive to be the greatest of them all.

The only serious issues which pose a problem with this game is its A.I capabilities, and lack of engagement during the mid-game saga of your dominance on the world stage. However, this is where the deep and creative involvement of the community becomes one of Civilization's core feature to the game's value, having access to thousands of other civilizations, a range of extended or new eras to choose form and countless U.I and A.I fixes that improve and expand the game, with out a doubt Civilization V's populairty and entertainment has streteched this far because of the extensive involvement of the community.

In contrast to Civ V's predecessor, Civ IV there has been marginal improvements, but it has taken many years for Civ V to fully develop into what it is today, in its release it was missing relgion, trade and diversity, but the developers, especailly the ones who did the DLC, made a comeback that trully saw the passion and true intention for the series, Gods and Kings and Brave New World gave the community a whole toolbox and blueprints to go nuts and wild with thier creations.

Now the question of Civ VI, is it better than Civ V, it looks better (to some), runs better and seems to be fluid in gameplay? Well, Civ VI has had a rockey start, just like Civ V, many of us saw wasted potential, others saw this as a step into the right direction not only for the serires but for the genre itself. Likewise, since Civ VI's launch back in 2016, it has had a slow progress in being as popular as Civ V, but what its lacking is its diffreiation between all the other games in the series, perrsonally I own the game I have played hunderds of hours and it is a good game, its solid in its functionality and gives the basic incentive for players to play till the end.

In my discreet opinion, Civ VI should have been the Civ V, 8 years ago, the developers of Friaxis and 2K games are unfortunalty slow learners in what they need to improve on and they seem at present lost for anything to expand Civ VI, it appears that there may be no new horizon. Its DLC's of Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm are more of slight modifacations, of such that I could have gotten in the Steam Workshop, for free.

So, in conclusion, Civ V is the better game:
1. Theres a lot more to offer.
2. Better value (more bang for your buck).
3. Diverse and Enriching mods
4. DLC is worth every cent.
5. Very accessable
6. Well-developed and fixable
7. W. Morgan Sheppard is the voice actor (I still love you Sean Bean)

So what are waiting for go get Sid Meier;s Civilization V: Comeplte Edition!

Warframe is a creation that tests your ability to keep calm and carry on. Its extensive customisation of your warframe (battlesuit/ character etc.) is a testament to your accounting capability in maximising your damage or defence or other factors that are best suited to the mission. If I were to boil down the game quite simple in its gameplay, you are are in essence a tailor possesses cosmos ninja powers always changing and evolving your suit for specific occasions.

The very fact that your warframe is never the same throughout the whole game, (because it is designed to be that way), you as a player comes out completely different than when you began.

However, time-wise to many, it doesn't appear to be that way for the reason this game is at points incredibly grinding, which can permanently put people off from playing any further. But, to me, it is an incredible shame because the story, lore and content missed out, as such, when a player does return they are confused and don't fully understand what all this space ninja mumbo jumbo means.

As corny to what I am about to say, it is a journey. It is a question whether you are prepared to dedicate yourself in becoming your own hero whose stories are carved out by the stories you tell to your friends, for example, narrowly stealing data in a stealth mission which led you to access another portion of the story that blew your mind or you got a badass new weapon to slaughter your enemies by the dozen.

For those questioning about 'pay-2-win' there is no end game, merely having access to these paid packages accelerate or cosmetically change your game. I spent money on this game, I reason that I had a very nice discount and took the opportunity to support the developers behind Warframe. They have an obvious passion and plan for the future of the game for the foreseeable future, of which I support them wholeheartedly.

Warframe can be a casual game, but it true entertainment is for those who have the dedication and of course the time to pursue such a large and long tale of how space ninja's got involved with time-bending mystical hoo-ha involving the destruction of solar empires and corporate syndicates.

In conclusion, download it play through the main story, if you dont like it no matter, its a free to play game.
