What can you say about a game that was in early access for over 5 years ?
What can you say about a team of developers that struggled to turn a dream they had into a reality against all of the odds that were seemingly stacked against them, with all of the financial issues , all of the problems with getting that ROMU game engine overhauled, and a lot of the players complaining about the lack of communication and frequent updates?
What can you say to those who said this game will never be finished?

You can say they did it !
Bugbear completed this awesome game !
And Bugbear did it with help from a good publisher, THQ Nordic.
Some of us never doubted it. Not for a second.

A little over a month and a half ago, this game saw full release, and this game is an absolute blast !
The soft body damage is on par with the best around, there are upgrades, downgrades, all kinds of livery, and a stable of different vehicles to mod to your hearts content. All kinds of vehicles. There are tracks galore, all kinds of tracks. All kinds of racing, from Banger to Deathmatch to Last Man Standing. Clean racing, dirty racing, and all points in between.
It has a really decent career, an active community, at the time of this review there are 200+ servers for online play.

If you don't mind paying the price of admission at this time ($45.00 U.S.) you can rest assured that money is well spent.
I can't think of another game ever that does what this game does, much less as well as this game does it.
It's really just that over the top in so many areas.
You can wait for a sale, but there will be a wait involved.
I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone that loves the old Flatout games or the Banger racing genre that this game hails from.
It is the best racing game for 2018, in my opinion.

This game really surprised me in more ways than one.It absolutely lives up to it's name. It is freaky and scary , and even has a story line that becomes more and more apparent as you progress through the game. I was jump scared far more in this game than any game of this genre ever, and I don't scare easily. I highly recommend it , even though it is in Early Access, because I just know these guys are going to make this game a gem , and really, it already is. I just can't wait until the next addition and/or full release to arrive. This is one I'll play more than once or twice. Great job on this one. I give it a solid 10/10.

A quick add: I'll bet this one will be played mostly during daylight hours. This one will scare a lot of people that normally aren't skittish. Night play in this game is much more scary.

IF you have the PC it takes to run this game,it is a great trip down memory lane for those who loved the first installment of Carnageddon. This game has been launched to lackluster reviews and is receiving a lot of negative press ,as well as Steam forum negative threads. I can only say,from my perspective and gameplay experience, that I have had a great time playing, and if you are willing to accept that this game is NOT a AAA title and is a little eccentric at times, it is very easy to love it.I have to give it an 8/10 .It's a very nostalgic blast for me.

This is not a game-it is a study in self-awareness of our own mortality and realization of the fact of death. We all inhabit this earth for a short time. It's how we live-not how long we live that matters the most.

Can't beleive how well this DOS game plays - what a great job was done adapting w/Dosbox !!!!!!! I played this game in 1998 and have fond memories that have been re-ignited !!! Looks as good as it did w/ Voodoo back then-and runs in much higher resolution . Kudos to all involved for a job very well done !!!!
