First of all, let me say that I know that this game isn't your traditional AC game. The same can be said for AC Origins. But since I haven't played too much of the original AC games (like 4 hours of Black Flag and 4 hours of AC 1) I went into this game with an open mind set. The only thing I knew about it was that it was open world and that it took place in ancient Greece during the Peloponesian war. I didn't know anything about the story or gameplay. So the first thing that really grasped me was that you had quite a lot of choice in this game. This is usually something I personally enjoy. And after a couple of hours of play another thing that I very much enjoyed was that mythology also played a prominent role in this game (even more so in the Atlantis DLC which I also played). So this combination of it being an open world Mythology RPG really intrigued me. This is also the point of this review. I think that it is a great game if you are into history and mythology or if you're into rpg's that take place hundreds of years ago. That being said I do think that you should not compare this game to the old AC's they're just completely different games

Awesome game to play for hours, alone or with a friend.

This is such an amazing game, you can fill hours and hours without ever getting tired of the game or losing ideas for what to do. I am closing in on the 500 hours on the Island and I haven't even mastered that map, not to mention that the dlc maps each add so much cool stuff that you feel like it is an entirely diffent game with the same visuals and mechanics. This is so cool in my opinion that this makes ARK my favorite game up untill now.

I recommend this game to anyone who has the time and willingness to learn the game which takes up some time tbh (so do keep that in mind). I also think that unofficial servers (or even single player worlds) are the best way to learn the game and that you shouldn't play official unless you can play atleast 2 hours a day for a extended period of time
