I really enjoyed the combination of survival and monster catching gameplay. A lot of Pals have really cool designs. Eventually it can become quite grindy though.

So this game is actually more of a Visual Novel, with the fishing being more arcade like, basically QTEs.

You can also cook, customize your tackle and keep fish in the Aquarium, which gives it some extra depth.

I like that the story is pretty good-hearted and the game itself is really chill and just overall nice to play.

The PC port is rather bare bones though. There are no resolution options and not even an "Exit" button, so you have to alt-tab out of the game to close it. You also need a controller to play basically. Since it's a niche Japanese game I think it's pretty obvious that the console versions were the priority, although its nice to have it on Steam too.

I have enjoyed the game so far, just be aware that the PC port has some limitations.

It's a pretty good addition to the game. You can camp anywhere and find treasures in the open world. Taking your animals with you is pretty cool. You also get a few new quests. Price is good too. Recommended if you enjoy the base game.

The design of the open world can be frustrating sometimes. That would be my only negative.

It is a great game. Runs great on Steam Deck too.

Authentic Chinese mythology setting. Really interesting.

Challenging combat with a lot of abilities.

Performance is good with the right settings but can stutter a bit.

Interesting story with cute characters.
The ending felt a bit rushed and I believe the relationship should've been fleshed out a bit more.
It's also really cheap and offers fair value for money.
Music was also really good.
Recommended.

Still can't beat it. Need games journalist mode.
