作为一款“战术射击游戏”，「彩虹六号」的乐趣点在于：战斗前的谨慎战术安排，战斗中的严格战术执行，以及面对突发状况的机动反应，当然最重要的，是团队严丝合缝的配合与呼应。通过详细的观察，经过缜密的思考，运用过往的经验，最终成功的执行，获得战局的胜利，这一系列行动下来所获得的成就感，是其他主张快节奏爽快感的FPS游戏所不能类比的。
