Honestly, This game is very strange at first if you are coming here to socialise. This isn't Omegle, or Looking For Groups on Xbox, etc. When you join a world, 97% of the time, you are joining some people that are 30% randomers and 70% people that know each other (in one room, all rooms). It's hard to be able to join conversations a lot of the time because you really are always "the new guy" in every room.

Once you kinda look past that, and the hundreds of little kids that have infested the side for its anime attraction, it is a really good side, VR or not, to meet people. If you are lonely and wanna make friends, dont expect a friendship right away, if you keep joining, keep trying to join conversations, there are people on here who genuinely accept others and wanna be friends and talk to people. Usually it is just those 30% of randomers, even if it is 1 little guy running around trying to start a conversation with individuals, there it is, someone like you who just wants to talk to people :)

This is an amazing social app, slightly feels like some VR fever dream/acid trip version of IMVU or similar social sites, but i've came to realise it truly is a place where friends can kill a few hours, and a place where people can find new friends in those hours you are trying to kill.

If you think VRChat might be your thing, I urge you to try it a couple of times. You might not find the experience you want within the first couple of sessions, but you are plunging yourself into a world of VR and anime, there are only a few thousands of people you will even have the possibility to interact with and most definitely wont meet all of them. I promise you, eventually, you will find a friend. You will have fun. Even if it is for one session, you will find a room, a group of people, and you will feel a part of that thing, whatever it may be... and that is what I think VRChat does really well. While it may be hard to feel wanted at first, hard to find a group that suits you and your personality... It IS possible, that is the beauty of VR chat.
