Howdy. I've played GTTOD for a while. I'm a huge fan of the parkour shooter genre, Titanfall 2 and all that. I'm a huge fan. I've played this game for a while now and... Ech. Idk if it's me, but this game's environments just do not allow for smooth gameplay. You go to loot a bunker, and you feel like a fish out of water. This game really struggles with whether it wants to be a parkour shooter where you speed through levels, or a roguelike where you're looting and trying to earn money for purchases.

I have a massive problem with the economy of this game. It takes far too long to get money early in a run, and the game on Normal Mode really feels like it outscales you if you don't get something good early. Most bunkers I run into are like, shop or service bunkers, and I'm sitting over here with like. 250 shards and a basic pistol that can't even kill a normal grunt enemy in 1 shot. I feel like if I want to engage in combat with the enemy, I have to slow myself down.

It also doesn't help that, when doing parkour, I feel like I'm just flailing around in the air. It feels... Really awkward going so fast and dashing all over the place when I'm trying to survive against Blade Sentinel, whose arena really... Doesn't reflect his fight whatsoever. I really dislike how the game plays currently, it feels really unforgiving for anyone who wants to just casually play the game. Going outside of quickplay is... Not fun to me tbh. I wanna just have a chill run, and maybe get amped up. Anytime I really die, its because... I get outscaled? and I'm moving fairly quickly, for what it's worth. Its hard to move fast in this game while also trying to loot containers and kill enemies for money.

I really want to see this game succeed, but also it generally feels, way too rough earlygame? I've gotten multiple upgrades for shields and stuff but, all the upgrades feel so minuscule from the Jade Vine tree. idk. maybe i'm uber casual but I can't recommend it rn.

Small edit, something I was thinking of. Comparing it to other roguelikes, I would like to imagine that... Y'know, as enemy waves come in, they skill check you before you reach the door. Areas are closed off until you clear waves of enemies, and the areas are expansive enough so that you're in a mini arena till you reach the door. Think how Hades is designed, you go from room to room clearing enemies, but only get to advance once it's completely done.

So, I've played the game quite a bit.

Beaten it a few times, shredded through a lot of content, seen a lot of the new items, seen a lot of the challenges and stages, done all the providence trials

I cannot recommend this game, in it's current balance state.

Volatile and Overloading elites, the scaling of difficulty, the aiming, everything is horribly crushing to go against.

Sure, I'll play this game because I'm bored, but oh my god the amount of times I am killed and it feels plain unfair, is overwhelming

When ELITES are a bigger problem, than the final boss of the game, dear ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god

I have been, playing a lot of Enforcer, because I'm really intrigued by his log, and just, all his alt skills except for the shield charge seem so horrible in comparison, and like, this sorta correlates to all the survivors I feel, 1 alt skill feels REALLY OP, and then the rest are just gimmicky and bad.

Also the size of stages ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks with the movement speed. Traversing a stage is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring. holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥. the worst part of the game is unironically just trying to find the teleporter on stage 1, and if you take too long to find it, the game director has already scaled past you, and you're dead.

I have a lot of problems I should probably list, but this is just me frustrated and rambling. Honestly disappointed a lot with how hardcore the balancing is cracked down on this game, I really hope the incoming patches fix it.

So, I'll start off, and say I am a newbie to the series. I recently went back and played AC3, as I was hyping myself up to for this game. This is also, my first FromSoft title.

This has to be, one of the BEST games I have played. It is polished and extremely, EXTREMELY fun, and SO well written. I am engaged with every single minute, the combat flows cleanly, I never truly have a problem with the economy in the game, as buying and selling parts go for the same cost, and like, just every single fight feeds into that pilot fantasy i've been trying to sate for so long

My thoughts are REALLY disorganized, but I just gotta rant and say, if you're looking for a challenging, yet also REWARDING experience, this game is worth it. Absolutely. Without a shadow of a doubt.

For a long time, this was my favorite series ever. Since Risk of Rain 1, I have been addicted to the game and all its content. From the base early access of this game to the mediocre launch of Survivors of the Void, to all the community’s content (Which I am incredibly sad that official modding support / workshop support is not here), I’ve been latched onto this game, but with Hopoo betraying their fanbase and selling it off to some corporation for a quick buck because the lead developer got bored of working on it, I can’t say I’ll ever play this game, or any of Hopoo’s titles ever again. I just have an incredibly bad taste in my mouth after this whole situation.

Ok let’s actually review this
Have you ever wanted to play battlefield, but with bigger battles, and more vehicles? If so, this is your game. I have played enough to understand this game isn’t P2W, as the starter guns are a lot of fun, and camo dosen’t even matter, you’ll still die!
This game is a masterpiece. I remember logging in for my first time, and seeing the massive battles happening at the crown on Amerish. Me and my friend flew a Valkyrie up to support our dudes, but we crash landed, and we were thrown deep into enemy territory. We fought tooth and nail, screaming the entire time, and barely handling the recoil of our guns. Chucking grenades left and right all the way back to our frontlines, but were shot in the back by some snipers as we were approaching the sunderers. If you like what you just heard, this is a decent description of what your first few hours are gonna be like. One thing I don’t like is how much of a grind it is to get guns. I understand that the devs have to make money somehow, but 1,000 certs is kinda ridiculous. It’ll take you around a week to get enough credits to buy one gun. Anyway, get this game. We need new people, and not enough people are talking about it.

This game is a masterpiece. From the hilarious community to the awesome developers, I cannot say that this is a bad game. The gameplay is often intense or funny. I often ask myself why I play this game. I cannot come up with an answer other than “it’s good.” So go play this game. It’s good.

I got banned from multiplayer, and I did nothing that would result in hacks. I loved this game, but now i cant do anything.
