I am absolutely in love with liminal spaces. Their aesthetic, whether creepy or peaceful, has always intrigued me since I first saw them.
I've played a few games solely based around liminal spaces or the backrooms themselves, such as Escape The Backrooms, Enter The Backrooms, The Complex: Found Footage, etc., but Anemoiapolis is probably my favorite. The idea of a mall setting that houses multiple liminal space-based locations branded as different sections of a getaway resort, is awesome! There is already an abundance of games that have you walk through other backroom-Esq locations that are meshed together, so having a twist to that format is definitely very refreshing.

I've seen several negative reviews on this game addressing the tedious nature of a "walking simulator" or how some locations seemed dull, with little happening. While I can understand these criticisms, many of these games already have you walking around, taking in the unnatural -- admittedly sometimes peaceful -- atmosphere that these locations provide. Liminal Spaces are not 100% focused on horror or trying to escape an otherworldly threat (though there is a small part of that in this game). A lot of them offer a feeling of stagnance. So, if you're into that, this is a game for you.

Moving on to the ticket system itself, I'm neutral about it. On the one hand, I like what it's going for. This almost resort theme park-type style, where you need tickets to move on to the different attractions. It also adds something for the player to look out for, adding a sort of progression system to the game. However, on the other hand, it feels as if the system was just added for something to have the player collect. The game would be the exact same without it.

The more minor story elements of this game are definitely cool, too. While some of the voice acting could improve, it added intrigue to the game, especially at the end of the first chapter. The small prompts of observations and speech were really charming and added a lot to this experience. So while it wasn't a lot, it will keep me on my toes until the next chapter is released.

Overall, 100% worth the small price of 9 bucks!

I've loved ocean life ever since I was small. I've even considered a career in Marine Biology myself.
Having said that, I think this game is beautiful. The graphics are amazing, and so are the creatures themselves. While I wish there was more variety, the different sea animals we got were good choices. The animations are both smooth and realistic, and the models are stunning.
The different area's you visit throughout the main story campaign are stunning in their own ways as well. From the shallows of the coast and a small atoll filled with wildlife, to the large and mysterious brine pools in the midnight zone near the boiling sea vents.
One of my favorite aspects was scanning wildlife as you go on throughout the game and coming back to look at fully animated, 3D models of the different creatures you have found. You can look at different animations of behaviors specific to that animal as well. Another feature is looking at the depth at which they are found, listening to audio of the whales and dolphins you have recorded, etc.

However, this game is not without it's cons. The main narrative of the game feels extremely weak and very short, only taking about 3 hours to complete. I found myself slightly disappointed by it. The tensions between the main protagonist and her sister felt forced, as well as other dynamics between different characters. I just wish there was more story to this game.
I have also found myself many times throughout my playthrough wishing for more wildlife and behaviors. While you do get to see some cool behaviors, such as a Leatherback Sea Turtle eating Jellyfish, they don't feel as if they are happening naturally. The behaviors feel artificial, as you only see the behaviors on story missions. It would have been really nice to see randomized AI with randomized behaviors.

All in all, this game was really beautiful. I've found myself always wanting to come back and complete scanning all of the creatures to unlock different behaviors, information, etc. As well as to fulfill my life-long dream of swimming up close in personal with a Bottlenose Dolphin pod.
I really do hope the Developer team adds more to the story, maybe some DLC with new areas, creatures, etc? That would be amazing to see!!

This game is overall, BullSh!t. I just bought it and i loaded up the game, and I went onto singleplayer, wouldnt load. Took me straight back to the main screen. For those of you who want this game, Look at the reveiws. See how much this game sucks. I WANT A REFUND! And those of you who are looking at this reveiw, I have game suggestions for you that are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better then this one:
- TheHunter: Primal
- Primal Carnage
- Primal Carnage Extinction
- Depth
- Spore
- LEGO Jurassic World
- Depth
- Shelter
- Shelter 2
- Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter REBORN
- Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2013
- Cabela's Pro Hunts
- Ark Survival Evolved

Phew! Now that we got that out of the way. This game sucks. See how much games are so much better than this old sh!tty crap? Now buy this game if u want to. But i warn you, Its the gates of hell that have been opened up into a dinosaur game.

I love this game. It is a great remake of the original classic carnivores.
Pros~
>Amazing graphics
>Amazing maps
>Love the dinosaurs
>A good amount of weapons
>You get to go observe the dinosaurs
Now, You may be thinking "this is the best game ever!" But.... It has some cons to.
Cons~
>Low amount of weapons
>Low amount of dinosaurs
>Bigger map sizes (I got around the entire island within 5 minutes)
>Less complicated to use the crossbow plz
The overall is really good. But here are some recommendations for new dinosaurs. Spinosaurus, Utahraptor, Brachiosaurus , Iguanadon.

Think about it now. Buy the game! :D
