Good game, doesn't really need any of its DLC. Just get some focus tree mods and they cover pretty much all of it. The game can get very stale, but there are plenty of mods to keep it interesting. 7.7/10

My problem with Civ 6 is that it is too repetitive. It seems like nowadays whenever they add a new civ they are guarunteed a pretty trashy unique tile improvement or building that is extremely limited in use and doesn't really add anything special to the civ, and it seems like all of the unique abilities now are just 'extra (insert yield) for adjacency bonuses next to (insert land feature here)'. There is no variety in the game, and I am tired of looking at the same old boring Cleopatra and Frederick Barbarosa every game.
CIvilization 5 was better in my opinion because each civ had an extremely different unique ability, from Morocco's extra gold for trade and Babylon's free Great Scientist. The games felt much more fun, as it took more strategy to beat and counter the several different civs in the game, because they were all extremely varied in playstyle and strengths. Another thing that I liked about Civ 5 compared to Civ 6 is that the games felt a lot more involved and interesting, and getting the victory in the end felt like much more of a challenge, as the AI or another player would always be right at your tail threatening to win another victory type, leading to some extremely fun and close games. Winning in Civ 6 however feels too much like a chore, as the victories themselves are extremely boring and tedious, and the AI is either never competitive or way ahead of you in everything, and the games feel like they are decided long before it actually ends. Getting a science victory or religious victory in this game is extremely boring and tedious, as the theological combat mechanic is bland and uninteresting and the micromanaging of buying the missionaries and spreading the religion is too boring. Civ 6 has some interesing ideas, but they are executed extremely poorly and they fail to capture any sort of interest from the players, i.e. the extreme inactivity in the Workshop compared to Civ 5.
