Since starting this game around 2015 it's hard to convey what kind of an issue grinding already was. It was an issue that was manageable but at the same time premium could help you speed things up. For many players they play a free to play game for a reason, and these Russian developers (albeit understanding that it's a company that does need to make revenue) continues to push the boundaries as if the community won't push back.

I think that Gaijin realized that with the introduction of more premium top tier tanks and aircraft that they could really make a profit by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over every other player to hint to them that they should pay $50 for one vehicle in order to grind through all the ranks. Ok, fair enough but why charge so much for one vehicle? Why give only a few days of premium after spending the amount of money that could be spent on another AAA game that doesn't have spaghetti code and CLEAR bias depending on the nation and the battle rating. War Thunder has so many issues going on at the moment that aren't related to the economy that it's honestly more insulting that they wouldn't fix their game before shilling for more profit. You know what would make people pay for premium? A clear benefit that doesn't induce suffering anyways, most of these players are level 10 and buy a 11.0 tank and never get to experience the game for what its for. From battle rating 6.7 to 11.7 it is a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, unbalanced nations, unbalanced vehicles and a plethora of other issues with volumetric registration as well.

Gaijin used to do some really cool things with helping players out but now it's more of a cashcow for Gaijin than anything. What's wrong with un-foldering vehicles? Because the difference between the two vehicles is negligible and costs more time, SL and RP to research something that does what? Gives you an extra vehicle in your lineup but doesn't create any variation apart from some tracks on your armor?

Let's talk about ATGM's around 6.0, why is that a thing? Why is the IS-3, T-34, M-26, Jumbo, Centurion and some other select few heavy tanks absolutely obsolete because a Marder with an ATGM or a BMP with an ATGM can sit behind a defalade with a wire guided missile and pick off heavy tanks that can't do a thing about it? Oh not to mention they're also really efficient at shooting down aircraft, ruining CAS at those battle ratings as well. Ground "realistic" isn't that anymore, it was Gaijins plan all along to inflate and clutter the Tiers in order to incentivize more players to buy into premiums or skip a tier with GE.
Don't play waste your time playing this game, as someone who drops 5-12 kills per game and actually has fun sometimes, don't waste your time grinding anything other than Russia or Germany. It's clear that the Russian Developers that live in Belgium have a preferred way of coding. Maybe if these corrupt morons could actually listen to their playerbase they wouldn't get the backlash. ♥♥♥♥ you Gaijin.

Movement: Sucks. Gunplay: Ok Optimization: Ok. I really hate how most of the time gunfights revolve around how fast your internet is or how fast you can parachute in. The devs seem to do silent updates and change random things in the game that are easy to spot. I couldn't count how many times I've been killed by early game lag, weapons not loading in or players who drop at the same time and end up getting to the destination before me. They really ruined the armor system by making a level 3 helmet only a little bit stronger than a level 2 it seems. The movement is so clunky I couldn't describe how good it feels to get on a different game and be able to survive a gunfight because I can actually use vaulting or jumping without being stuck in a animation afterwards. This game aims for semi realism but it seems that when a shotgun can blast through a level 3 vest with buckshot that's not the case. The game was better to be honest when vaulting wasn't a thing and you could put 8x scopes on the m16, I mean if it has the rail space for it then you should be able to put it on the gun regardless of if the gun was effective. I remember when this game was talked about early on and the main best part about the gunplay was the fact that the player doesn't shoot from his point of view but rather where the barrel is, causing more realistic positioning and game play dynamics. But that isn't the case, I couldn't count how many times where i've only seen the head of a player and not the outline of their gun and ended up losing the gunfight because it seemed like they were a rook main from siege pixel peeking me. I absolutely hate the developers for their lack of care for a game that had so much traction but Brandon Greene cares more about traveling the globe and taking pictures of overpriced food than overseeing his development team and actually fixing the issues that have plagued the game from day 1. This game seems so regulated in a sense and setup that it doesn't feel like there are actually variables in the game anymore and it just ends up being who wins the same situations over and over again because of the circle and positioning. Imagine going to pochinki and walking out of the town having slaughtered the whole platoon of enemies just to have maybe a vector and a m416. Imagine the game favoring people who don't hotdrop and go from shack to shack and small village and get kar98k's best positioning to vehicles and a higher chance of being away from the redzone. This game really favors pansies who sit in corners with their pentium's and monsters stacked on their desk than someone who goes to hotspots and wins every gunfight just to get killed by the blue circle. Don't get me wrong I had my fun on this game, but the devs cared more about a map than making the game smoother, snappier and more tailored to their players. Battle royale games are dying and I think that this game will die with the rest like h1z1.
