Early Access Review
I bought this game because I wanted to be able to play a chill game either to relax or to play it along with a stream/movie/yt video on my other monitor. (This works perfectly btw)

Little did I know that I would descend into madness.

PART 1: Ignorance is Bliss
I didn't know how the point system works so I just kept building cute little maps and I was pretty proud of myself for increasing my points after every run. I was happy as long as the world made me want to quit real life and instead get on the cute little train on tracks that looked like a 5-year-old designed it. But I wanted to get even more points and so instead of going for aesthetics I was paying more attention to maximise points.

PART 2: Perfect Tiles = Dopamine
One thing led to another and I ended up watching a 40 minute YouTube video talking about the point system, some general tips and the overall thought process when putting tiles together. Basically, you have to try and match each side of the hexagon tile with an adjacent tile, for example house borders house. If you are able to match all sides perfectly you add more tiles (and points) to your stack. The 'goal' is to not run out of hexagons. Another way to accomplish that is to fulfil quests that will pop up randomly. Tasks involve connecting one type of tile (e.g. tree, field, house..) to reach either a specific number or plus.

This awakened something in me that has been absent for most of my life; ambition. I started to get the hang of it and my maps were getting bigger and I finally reached over 10k points. I considered that an achievement; my friend called it an addiction. Apples and Oranges. Every time I completed a matching set of tiles and the "perfect" animation popped up with the cute sound feedback, I got a small dopamine dosis that kept me going. Coffee? No. Chocolate? No. Perfect tiles? Oh yeah, that's the ♥♥♥♥!

Conclusion:
What started off as a game to past some time quickly turned into a personal challenge. Don't get me wrong though, I can still relax while also trying to be more efficient about it. Sometimes I do get a little grumpy when there is a tile that ♥♥♥♥♥ you over and doesn't fit ANYWHERE :) But, on the other hand, you feel the opposite when you finally see a tile you were waiting for the past hour.
There is also a creative mode for all the people who don't want to deal with points and quests and prefer to build aesthetically pleasing maps.

10/10 I dream about putting tiles together. No, I don't need help.
