This is probably my favorite toy I've discovered in a long time. It almost helps me make almost music. Music is a deep passion of mine. I constantly have tunes running through my head. And while I have rhythm, I lack the coordination to play a proper drum set, and I lack the discipline to learn strings or other instruments that carry melody.

Though very limited, it's enough to get my creative juices flowing and it's fun to play with and to listen to compositions of others. If you love games and have music in your soul, then this is a must buy. Especially if you have limited to no outlets for it like myself.

The behind the scenes PDF was an interesting read. If you're reading reviews for this, you already know you should pick it up. You already know the game was good and you should show a vote of confidence and appreciation.

It took me about 7 ½ to 8 hours to finally hit the wall of pay to play, but I did. However, I’m not actually too upset by that. I get it. They got to make money somehow, and the game doesn’t try to hide what it is. Plus, waiting is an option, and while I didn’t realize exactly what the game was going to be when I downloaded it, the moment you get in you know exactly what you are getting into. It doesn’t try to hide what it is in any way, and I can respect that. Full disclosure, I did give them like $6 about 2 hours in for a kind of starter pack. Partly because I had reasoned I had played enough of the game and enjoyed it enough I didn’t mind giving them a little coin. Also, partially because it was a limited time thing.

If the idea of a cash grab henti game with some waiting mechanics and lots of grinding bothers you, then just walk away now. Normally something like that would bother me, but for whatever reason here it doesn’t. You can mostly avoid the henti aspects of the game if you want to. I say mostly because there are a few sex scenes that are forced on you. There are some suggestive things forced on you. And the general dirty and sex crazed dialogue is forced on you. But the majority of the actual henti is in a part of the game you are not really required to interact with if you don’t want to, to engage with the rest of the game. Now, insofar as the dialogue, your mileage is going to vary. Some will probably see it as a bit of goofy, campy fun. Others, are going to find it eye rollingly annoying. I’m kind of in the middle personally.

The actual game play is click on enemies, and blow them up. That’s about it. But that’s also a bit reductive and unfair. There is also a kind of Pokemon thing going on with elements. That is the core of the actual game play, but the game play is not what this game is actually about. This game is about collecting and building up units, putting together good team compositions for the situation, and let’s be honest here, reveling in the cheesecake. It’s really about preparation and strategy. It’s about expanding your collection. It’s not about the actual game play or the mechanics of battles. The game has a story, but it’s dumb, and centered about sex. As stated earlier, your mileage with it is going to vary and largely depend on if you find it goofy and fun, and tired, immature, and overdone.

There is a PvP aspect to the game, but it’s not exactly PvP. Once you engage with it, you get a vault (that does build up and pay out coins to you every so many hours) and you pick a team to defenders to your vault. If you choose to “attack” the game will randomly pick out another player’s team of defenders for you to face off with. So, while you are fighting units that are powered up and chosen by another player, they are in fact AI controlled. You don’t get to pick your targets, you are given one randomly (I presume in your “elo” range) and when you see their team comp, you can either engage. Or you can choose not to engage. You can either wait for a certain amount of time for the game to allow you to pick a different team to attack, or pay some currency to get another one instantly. There is also a log kept of who has attacked and beaten your defenders and you are given a shot to get revenge on them if you want to try. It's kind of cool and unique, but it’s not exactly right to call it PvP either. That’s a bit of a misnomer.

Now for the truly degenerate among you, there is the part of the game where you engage with the henti. Basically, every time you unlock a new girl, she is added to your pool of girls you are texting in this kind of mini game where if you have the right items in the right amounts you “flirt” with them by giving them gifts, and this is how the henti is unlocked. It’s worth noting that sometimes you will get to play these mini games instead that are kind of like retro arcade throwbacks. That’s kind of interesting to a point. But again, this aspect of the game can more or less be ignored if you want to. Personally, I’m engaging with it, but not going out of my way to get the things you need for it. As I earn them, I’ll go and engage, but I’m not doing anything to go out of my way to earn them and get my henti. To me it’s just kind of there. There are some small rewards for engaging with it. And honestly, I think this would have been a better game without it. If this game had kept the cheesecake, and dropped the henti, I think it would have had a farther reach and would have been a better game for it. Maybe toned down some of the dialogue a bit, made it less directly dirty and more suggestive. But, it is what it is.

Over all, I’m digging it. I’ve made peace with the elements I don’t like, and the elements I do like are enough to keep me going. Not sure I’ll give them much more if any more money, but yeah. I do enjoy building up my units and thinking about what I’d like to get to have better, more rounded comps. (I did have a slightly better version of this review earlier, but Steam decided to swallow it because, I don’t know, writing reviews directly into the Steam client is ever a good idea, but I keep doing it anyway and I lose one once in a while)

I'm not real sure where this came from, how it got in my library. At least it's not totally worthless trash like so many things I find and have no idea how they got there.

This is not going to blow anyone's mind, it's not going to rock anyone's world. It's a pretty simple puzzle game with some decent music and the backgrounds are kind of beautiful in their simplicity. Why is it cat themed? I don't know, it doesn't really need to be. I guess to capture that ever growing lonely cat lady market in the gaming space?

Fairly simple stuff, you have a bunch of starts on tracks, you want to move them so they they never actually touch each other, and if you do it right, they will form a constellation, and you move on to the next puzzle. some of them will have points where the stars will stop, before reaching the end of the their track. If two stars touch while any one of them is in motion, the puzzle resets. So, it's a logic exercise of sorts to look at the situation, and decide in what order you need to move things.

There are worse time wasters out there, and may of them cost more than a buck so...

You can't even navigate the menus properly. I'm told I have the soundtrack. Damned if I can find it. Not in the game files, not in the Steam files, I didn't move it to my iTunes collection. And when I verify the game files supposedly it all checks out, even those those dlc files are nowhere to be found.

Just no.

Another game initial impression for ya.

This, I'm surprised I've never heard of before. I'd think something like this would have a pretty strong cult following. It's got the polish and look. Almost like a chibiesque Bastion vibe. It's kind of reminds me a little of one of my favorite game, or at least a portion of it.

The tower levels in, Azura Dreams, look kind of like this insofar as the grid system layout, and if you spend too much time on any one floor it does what this game does where it starts to shake and rumble and eventually the floor crumbles from bellow you. But where that game had Rouge Like RPG, City Builder, Monster Collector, and Dating Sim elements in it this one is a puzzle game.

For $5, for sure worth looking into at the very least.

My initial impression is, I like it. It takes the form of the old school arcade beat em' ups and kind of turns it into a survival game of sorts. Not survival in the sense of gather resources and building a base. Survival in the sense of there are endless hordes and you have limited resources. You need to pick and choose when it's worth it to stop and kill for money to get resources, and when it's better to just keep running past the chaos.

I can see this being a real time sink to the right person.

The music is really good, but beyond that, I don't have the patience for this low grade BS. It's a crap game peddling crap philosophy. Oh Communism is the way. That's why it's responsible for more deaths than any other ideology or religion, right?

The art is better than Police Hot Tale, but the game is somehow even worse. Didn't even know that could be possible
