This game has a lot of polish, and there is a lot to like here. For the first 5 to 7 hours I was pretty hooked. I never got past the third area (and still haven't). But somewhere after that, I started to notice the game was starting to feel a little lack luster. It starts to feel pretty repetitive. Now don't get me wrong, all your runs will end up being different due to the cards and gear you pick up and because of the mystery stops.

However, it's not enough to keep it feeling fresh the whole time. Some of the mystery stops show up all the time, and some some are a bit more rare, but none of them offer much to make it feel all that much different. The biggest tangible difference between runs is your cards and gear, but all you really notice is if you are feeling powerful or weak compared to other runs. Unlocking new characters does give it a little more spice. But still not enough in my opinion to make a huge impact.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a bad game. Just that it goes from something you fell compelled to play, to a time killer pretty quickly. What you get is highly polished and great. But there needed to be more. More music tracks. More enemy types. More variations on party compositions both yours and the enemies. I'd have liked the story to be more flushed out (I think this would be a great basis for a comic or cartoon).

But yeah, it's a good game. It's worth picking up and playing. Just know this isn't the game your going to play endlessly for several months. It's a game your going to play a lot for several hours, then do a few runs here and there now and again after that.
