I had a great time in Callisto Protocol. I went into this game blind with few expectations and was pleasantly surprised in many ways. The combat is fun and visceral. The lighting, sound design and graphics are absolutely phenomenal. I enjoyed the story - including that apparently divisive ending - though my main gripes are the abysmal stuttering issues. These are unacceptable and must be fixed. No game should have these types of problems. Even with the latest patch as off 12/19/22 the game still stutters in certain areas; the shanty town is a huge gripe of mine.
Lack of enemy variety is felt partially, though there is still a fair amount in this game. It isn't Silent Hill Downpour levels of enemy variety.
All in all, I appreciate this game for its demanding combat and interesting story. I look forward to learning more about this universe and, hopefully, seeing a sequel down the road.
