It does not run great, the AI is not the brightest, the law of the land is unclear, the story is pretty typical as in nothing special. That being said, ♥♥♥♥ is fun. Combat feels good, animations (Beside faces) are on point, game looks amazing, and the gear really makes you feel the progress. The Pawn system is unique, and rather fun once you get a feel for it. The way this game treats quest markers is so much better than Skyrim. It will give you a general area but not straight to where you need to go, but if you are having too much trouble you can have a pawn guide you. Monsters are cool looking and provide enough to not make it overly tedious, but I will admit the amount of combat encounters is a little wild but it makes for a real slug fest. Just dudes popping out of the wood work and dog pilling your ♥♥♥♥. It can catch you off guard so it makes you pay attention to what you are doing. I am having fun with it and I think a lot of people will. I can understand if this kind of game is not for you, but if it is not, no need to ♥♥♥♥ on it. If you can get past the bland story and poor face animations, there is a real gem in here.

It feels lifeless and void. I played it for six hours straight and not once did I feel sucked into the world. It felt like every single mission was to talk to a person on planet X then walk the 300m back to my ship for a load screen. Then pick my location to travel to. Load screen. Arrive at planet Y, pick landing spot. Load screen. Walk to the outpost and enter the front door. Load screen. Have a 30 second to 1 minute conversation, then go back to the first person talk to them in person, which involves all the steps above. WHY CAN"T I USE THE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS ON THE SHIP! INSTEAD I HAVE TO TRAVEL THE F-ING GALAXY TO SPEAK IN PERSON.
Lucky to maybe get 30-40 frames consistently, and my rig is well above the recommended specs for the game to operate. Just felt like Todd ♥♥♥♥ down my throat for a half baked game from 2011 again. This is all surface level stuff you can get on YouTube for more detailed reviews, and I would. Not worth the $70, maybe pick it up on sale for 75% off for a cool concept game.

Complacency kills.
This is a wonderful game. One of my favorites of all time. It is a ball busting game, learning how to do play it take time and a lot of anger. Once you start to understand and get gear you feel good. The next moment you are walking down a side street and a zombie pops out and bites you. Never feel safe or comfortable. It has a great mechanics great lore "Watch the woodcraft VHSs" it is on the simple side when it comes to art style, but it does not hold this game back at all.

It is not complete by any means. It still manages to be the most fun I've had in a single/coop RPG game in at least ten years. I have full faith Larian will put out a great game that will be considered a classic in ten years. They have changed some minor rules to 5e to make it better in a video game setting which I find quite enjoyable. So to those who want a strict 5e rule set you wont get it 100%. To die hard fans of 1&2, manage your expectations. This is a different studio/story who are putting their souls into this game to make it fun. It is a great D&D game, and a fantastic RPG. I can't wait to see where it goes.

This is a very good game. The negative things people are saying such as the racism and toxic nature of the lobbys, I have found to be false. There are one or two matches I can remember where chat was awful, but most of the time I have found the people to be quite enjoyable (though I do play on central US servers). If you played Chiv you know all about ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ physics. This game has fixed a lot of that ♥♥♥♥. There is still some there such as speeding up attacks and slowing them down. It take time to learn it but it does not break the game at all. If anything it adds to it cause then it makes the game more than attack block attack block repeat. If you like melee combat games and are not scared to hit a learning curve then you will like this game. If you are filthy casual you probably don't want to put the time into the game to learn it.

I have over 234 hours on this game, not bored with it at all. Took me the first 200 to discover the whole island. Updates all the time, never ending fun!

Update:

I now have 488 hours on the game. I still really love it, but my friends do not play it and I have lost the spark for it. I would really say to anyone looking to buy this to make sure you have friends who are going into it for a long time. I would say it is worth 60 bucks if you have a lot of free time, cause it does ask for a fair bit.
